Operations & Innovation Consultant

The company and our mission

Zartis is a digital solutions provider working across technology strategy, software engineering and product development.

We partner with firms across financial services, MedTech, media, logistics technology, renewable energy, EdTech, e-commerce, and more. Our engineering hubs in EMEA and LATAM are full of talented professionals delivering business success and digital improvement across application development, software architecture, CI/CD, business intelligence, QA automation, and new technology integrations.

We are looking for an Operations & Innovation Consultant to join our Operations pillar.

The project:

Our teammates are talented people that come from a variety of backgrounds. We’re committed to building an inclusive culture based on trust and innovation.

You will be part of a distributed team developing new technologies to solve real business problems.

This role is designed for a strategic "builder" who can navigate the space between high-level business goals and technical execution. You will have a cross-functional role with a primary focus on Solutions and Innovation, ensuring our operational systems are not only functional but evolving. You must be highly data-literate, capable of auditing complex workflows, and deploying analytical insights to drive efficiency across the entire organisation.

What you will do:

• Process Architecture: Audit existing workflows across the business to identify bottlenecks and design automated, scalable solutions.
• Implementation & Integration of Automations: Lead the rollout of new automations, ensuring seamless integration between different departments.
• Operational R&D: Research and pilot innovative technologies (AI, automation, no-code) to improve the "Operations Pillar" service delivery.
• Continuous Improvement: Act as an internal consultant for other teams to refine their specific operational "sub-systems," ensuring alignment with the company’s broader strategic goals.
• Bench and Backlog Management: Optimise cross-project workforce allocation by streamlining internal workflows and facilitating seamless team transitions. Lead the development of internal tools and solutions while collaborating with key stakeholders to align technical output with strategic priorities.
• Governmental Support: Lead initiatives to obtain R&D tax credits and similar schemes across Spain and Portugal, and other governmental incentives, while identifying areas for organisational improvement.
• Governance and Improvements: Establish and manage process governance in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure operational standards are maintained.
• Pillar Support: Provide flexible, high-level support across Operations and Finance teams as required, stepping in to solve complex problems that require a systems-thinking approach.
• Strategic Admin: Manage high-stakes vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring service levels align with our long-term scaling needs.
• Workflow Documentation: Create the "Internal Playbook" for new innovations, ensuring that once a solution is built, it is documented for sustainable use by the wider team.
• Data Analysis: Demonstrate a deep understanding of data-management practices

What you will bring:

• Automation & No-Code: Hands-on experience with automation platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make, Power Automate) and managing internal tool stacks.
• Resource Management: Experience managing a "backlog" of tasks and allocating cross-project workforce resources based on priority and skill set.
• R&D Compliance: Familiarity with the documentation and requirements needed for R&D tax credit applications or similar governmental filings.
• Data Visualisation: Proficiency in Power BI (or similar BI tools) to transform raw data into actionable stakeholder dashboards.
• Operations Excellence: 4+ years in Business Operations, Management Consulting, or a high-growth startup environment where you’ve built processes from scratch.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven track record of "internal consulting"—working with Finance, HR, and software engineering teams to solve their specific bottlenecks.
• Stakeholder Management: Experience in presenting complex operational shifts to senior leadership and getting "buy-in" for new governance structures.
• Systems Thinking: The ability to see how a change in one department (e.g., Finance) will ripple through others (e.g., cross-functional workforce team).
• Adaptability: Comfortable shifting from high-level "Governance" strategy to hands-on "Backlog" troubleshooting on the same day.
• Analytical Mindset: You don't just see a broken process; you see the data points required to fix it.

What we offer:

100% Remote Work
WFH allowance: Monthly payment as financial support for remote working.
Career Growth: We have established a career development program accessible for all employees with a 360º feedback that will help us to guide you in your career progression.
Training: For Tech training at Zartis, you have time allocated during the week at your disposal. You can request from a variety of options, such as online courses (from Pluralsight and Educative.io, for example), English classes, books, conferences, and events.
Mentoring Program: You can become a mentor in Zartis or you can receive mentorship, or both.
Wellbeing Hub (Kara Connect): A platform that provides sessions with a range of specialists, including mental health professionals, nutritionists, physiotherapists, fitness coaches, and webinars with such professionals as well.
Multicultural working environment: We organize tech events, webinars, parties, and activities to do online team-building games and contests.

  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
