Dandy is transforming the massive and antiquated dental industry—an industry worth over $200B. Backed by some of the world’s leading venture capital firms, we’re on an ambitious mission to simplify and modernize every function of the dental practice through technology. As we expand our reach globally, Dandy is building the operating system for dental offices around the world—empowering clinicians and their teams with technology, innovation, and world-class support to achieve more for their practices, their people, and their patients.

About the Role

Dandy is hiring an Operations Manager to design, scale, and optimize the systems that power our manufacturing network. This role sits on our central Strategy Operations team and is focused on ensuring every order ships on time by building scalable solutions that optimize labor, equipment, and system orchestration. You’ll be responsible for creating the infrastructure to assign 100% of labor, achieve 100% OEE visibility on the floor, ensure 100% of orders and labor are scheduled through our system, and enable 24/7 machine utilization through demand smoothing strategies.

You will work cross-functionally with Data, Product, and Operations leaders to translate business needs into system requirements, and then partner to design, launch, and optimize the architecture that drives execution. This is a high-impact role that will unlock scale, predictability, and efficiency in our manufacturing operations.

What You'll Do

  • Build scalable systems: Design and roll out solutions to fully allocate labor, track OEE, and ensure all orders and labor are scheduled by system logic.

  • Drive on-time delivery: Implement strategies and tools that ensure every order is scheduled, resourced, and delivered on time.

  • Own architecture & strategy: Partner with Product and Data to define system requirements, align on architecture decisions, and roll out enhancements.

  • Ensure visibility & accountability: Lead dashboard builds of real-time insights that connect labor, equipment utilization, and scheduling performance to business outcomes.

  • Operationalize improvements: Diagnose bottlenecks, design solutions, and lead pilots/rollouts to close gaps.

  • Cross-functional leadership: Act as the connective tissue between Strategy Operations, Product, Data, and Manufacturing, ensuring system architecture reflects operational realities and future scale needs.

What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years in operations, manufacturing, or systems-focused roles (consulting, strategy, or product ops experience a plus).

  • Strong program/project management skills with experience delivering cross-functional system rollouts.

  • Experience designing and implementing systems for scale (ERP/MES, scheduling, resource allocation).

  • Data-driven problem solver

  • Strong communicator who can translate operational needs into system requirements and influence cross-functional partners.

  • Self-starter with high ownership, detail orientation, and ability to drive clarity in ambiguous environments.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Business or closely related field.

Bonus Points For:

  • Outstanding professional references to share

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to present quantitative concepts

  • Comfortable using SQL, Looker, or similar tools to build visibility and drive decisions.

  • Experience with marketplace business models

  • Management consulting or investment banking backgrounds, extra bonus points for startup experience

  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and fix problems in a hands-on manner when needed

  • Relentlessly positive attitude, strong sense of humor, and the ability to have fun at work
