Licensing Specialist
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Licensing Specialist to support the Legal team. You will have wide-ranging responsibilities and ownership of projects, working alongside in-house and outside counsel to support licensing applications and regulatory responses. You will also help develop tools and improve processes to increase efficiency. This job cannot be performed in the state of Colorado.
In this role, you can expect to
- Track and maintain all state licenses for Chime.
- Coordinate and prepare all applications, reportings (quarterly, semiannual, and annual) and renewals accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage relationships with internal partners to source data and other information needed to fulfill licensing reporting requirements.
- Regularly communicate with state agencies and update regulatory requirements as needed.
- Maintain information and data required for licenses such as officer and director information, bonds and registrations, financial and corporate material and update company website license listings.
- Help the legal team create and implement tools and processes.
- Manage projects effectively, with a team-oriented approach and strong project management skills.
- Communicate across teams and functions to support a collegial, collaborative culture of Chimers interested in following the rules.
To thrive in this role, you have
- 5+ years experience in legal, compliance or regulatory affairs.
- B.A./B.S degree, paralegal certificate a plus.
- Experience working with state agencies, company executives and board of directors.
- Excellent organizational, communication and relationship management skills with a very high attention to detail.
- Ability to work with team members at all levels while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism, collaboration and discretion.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks; ability to prioritize numerous requests under time pressure.
