The Sr. Training Specialist, Clinical is responsible for utilizing instructional design and facilitation best practices to create and facilitate a variety of learning experiences for the business. It requires someone who can context switch easily, can facilitate with minimal supervision/support from managers, and who thrives in a fast-paced, ever changing environment. This role will focus heavily on supporting the training needs of our Clinical Staff, but may often support other areas of the business as well. 

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate multiple, simultaneous courses/programs effectively and efficiently
  • Utilize a variety of training techniques/methods to meet the needs of a diverse learning population
  • Collaborate with training team colleagues to ensure we have high-quality learning experiences that meet the needs of the business 
  • Conduct mock calls and provide detailed feedback to new and existing clinical team members
  • Distill and use evaluation data to tell meaningful stories about business results stemming from training courses/learning experiences
  • Build partnerships with business partners with minimal direction from supervisors to support a smooth transition for trainees from the training environment to their new roles
  • Act as a thought leader and consultant for stakeholders wherever learning is concerned
  • Maintain strong relationships with peers in the business to remain connected with realities of the business
  • Build strong relationships with subject matter experts, ensuring the team and the SMEs get what they need in a timely manner
  • Participate in course audits

Qualifications:

  • RN/BSN with active unrestricted state license or able to activate an expired license
  • 2 years of experience in a clinical setting
  • 2 years formal training in instructional design and/or adult learning
  • Experience developing and conducting web based, blended and instructor-led training (either live or via webcast) 
  • Proficiency with various authoring tools (i.e. MS Office: Word, Powerpoint, Excel; Google: Docs, sheets, slides, Captivate/Camtasia, etc.)
  • Experience creating and administering both synchronous and asynchronous training (multiple formats)
  • Experience creating e-learning content that is SCORM compliant (strongly preferred)
  • Experience with Medical or Clinical Terminology and with applying clinical criteria/guidelines
  • Ability to provide analytical, reporting and data analysis for training (statuses, efficacy, impacts, etc.)
  • Ability to build relationships and trust with a variety of personalities and individuals 
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex processes and systems
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems through collaboration and a growth mindset
  • Comfortable facilitating to a variety of groupsAbility to quickly utilize problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Clear ability to work well under pressure with a proactive approach, including managing multiple projects and priorities
  • Results-driven, always finds a way to get things done
  • Ability to provide excellent internal and external customer service
