Our client, a leading energy and carbon management company committed to responsible energy production and sustainability, is seeking an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Consultant to provide full-time support for their Oracle EBS 12.1.3 environment. This position requires a strong functional or techno-functional background to support various financial modules and ensure stable operations during a critical support period. The role also requires strong familiarity with Oracle Apps DBA-related tasks; the consultant will operate with Application System Account (App Sys Account) permissions.
- Provide hands-on functional and/or technical support for Oracle EBS 12.1.3 modules, including:
- Oracle Tax Engine (EB Tax)
- iSupplier
- Treasury
- Fixed Assets

- Analyze and troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions across modules.
- Collaborate with business users and IT teams to ensure proper configuration, testing, and deployment of fixes or enhancements.
- Support period close activities, reconciliations, and reporting processes as needed.
- Apply Oracle Apps DBA knowledge to support application-layer administration tasks within App Sys Account permissions (e.g., cloning support, patching coordination, environment troubleshooting), without requiring full DBA Sys access.
- Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams to ensure continuity and operational readiness.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) in a functional or techno-functional role.
- Strong expertise in Financials modules, particularly EB Tax, iSupplier, Treasury, and Fixed Assets.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Apps DBA concepts and responsibilities (App Sys Account level — not DBA Sys).
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application and process issues.
- Experience collaborating with both technical developers and business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Based in California, with the ability to work onsite daily at the Long Beach, Santa Clarita, or Bakersfield office (Bakersfield preferred).
- Exposure to Hyperion HFM (Hyperion Financial Management).
- Experience working within energy, utilities, or manufacturing industries.
- Prior involvement in EBS 12.x upgrades, patching, or integrations.
- 5+ years of experience working with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) in a functional or techno-functional role.
