The Financial Consolidation Architect is a member of CFT – Applications, which operates at the intersection of functional expertise and technology innovation, continuously identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve controls and leverage emerging capabilities including automation and AI.

About this Role

This role serves as a functional and technology architect across Financial Consolidation and Treasury domains.  The role places strong emphasis on leveraging modern technologies, including AI-enabled capabilities, to transform Finance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives across financial close, consolidation and treasury operations
  • Design scalable, technology-enabled solutions integrating ERP, EPM and Treasury platforms
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities using AI agents, workflows and advanced tooling
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into digital solutions
  • Drive data integration, controls and process optimization
  • Contribute to Finance platform strategy and roadmap
  • Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement using modern technology; champion experimentation with emerging technologies and AI-driven tools
  • Support change management, training and adoption

AI & Technology Focus (Core Differentiators)

  • Apply AI/ML and automation tools to enhance financial processes and decision-making
  • Identify opportunities for agentic workflows and intelligent automation
  • Rapidly learn and adopt new platforms, tools and frameworks
  • Partner with engineering teams to embed AI capabilities into Finance platforms

Required Experience

  • Finance experience across consolidation and/or treasury
  • Strong understanding of financial data models, integrations and controls
  • Experience working with ERP, EPM or Treasury platforms (vendor-agnostic)
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge business processes with technology solutions
  • Experience with AI tools, automation platforms or analytics solutions
  • Experience with system integrations, APIs or data pipelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills:  able to articulate strategic and tactical objectives including underlying business rationale with appropriate audience sensitivity

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Exposure to consolidation platforms (e.g., Oracle FCCS, Hyperion)
  • Exposure to Treasury systems (e.g., cash management, liquidity, payments)
For Atlanta, GA Only the salary range for this position is USD$112,000.00 - USD$140,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model

Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
