About daydream

daydream is building the world’s best SEO agent, paired with the top 1% of human experts. We own organic search end-to-end, so customers don’t have to hire specialized teams, evaluate tools, or manage agencies.

Winning in search now requires producing expert-level content at scale and adapting continuously as ranking systems and user behavior change. Existing tools surface metrics without making decisions, and agencies depend on slow, manual workflows that don’t compound. Even well-resourced teams struggle to turn sustained effort into reliable growth.

daydream replaces fragmented tools and external vendors with a single system that plans and executes SEO continuously. The SEO agent handles analysis, planning, and generation, while experienced Growth Leads convert that work into shipped pages, technical fixes, and updated priorities, and remain accountable for performance over time.

We’ve raised over $22M from First Round Capital, Basis Set Ventures, WndrCo, and SOMA Capital, and are backed by growth leaders from Notion, Airtable, Webflow, and Dropbox, including Lenny Rachitsky and Eli Schwartz, author of Product-Led SEO.

The Team

You’ll work closely with a small, senior team across GTM and Growth:

  • Janet (Head of GTM & Hiring Manager), who owns revenue strategy and deal quality; your closest partner on discovery craft, consultative selling, and scaling a repeatable, high-trust close

  • Thenuka (CEO), who sets company direction and product vision; deeply engaged on judgment calls, ambition, pace, and how we build a durable, high-integrity business

  • Houston (Head of Growth), who leads delivery and growth execution; partners closely on post-sales alignment, handoff quality, and ensuring what’s sold sets teams and customers up for success

How you’ll make an impact

daydream’s revenue motion is already working, and it’s increasingly inbound-driven. The next phase is scaling a high-trust, consultative close that feels more like expert problem-solving than scripted SaaS selling. This Organic Growth Strategist sits at the center of that motion.

You’ll partner closely with GTM leadership to turn inbound demand into high-confidence, long-term customers by bringing deep SEO credibility directly into pre-sales. Your ability to diagnose growth constraints, design defensible strategies, and handle technical objections will directly drive revenue, while enabling faster, cleaner handoffs to delivery.

This is a diagnostic, credibility-heavy closing role where your SEO fluency removes friction across the entire funnel.

In this role, you will:
  • Own organic growth strategy for the pre-sales motion, designing credible, tailored SEO recommendations that account for technical constraints, content realities, measurement limitations, and execution tradeoffs

  • Act as the strategic authority on organic growth in customer conversations, guiding buyers through complex technical considerations, addressing nuanced objections, and building confidence in both the strategy and its downstream execution

  • Translate organic growth strategy into clear, execution-ready briefs, ensuring smooth handoff into post-sales delivery with fewer assumptions, less rework, and faster time to impact

  • Continuously strengthen daydream’s pre-sales engine by systematizing repeatable learnings into templates, audits, and frameworks; feeding real-world market insights back into product and marketing; and refining how daydream explains AI search in a way buyers trust.

  • Set and uphold the quality bar for pre-sales organic growth strategy, determining what is viable, defensible, and worth selling; and pushing back when expectations, scope, or timelines don’t align with reality

Minimum qualifications
  • 5–10 years of experience in SEO (agency and/or in-house), with clear examples of strategy-led impact

  • Strong fundamentals across technical SEO, content strategy, and measurement

  • Proven client-facing ownership: leading discussions, defending recommendations, and influencing multiple stakeholders

  • High-craft communicator with crisp writing, sharp meeting control, and strong follow-through

  • Comfort operating without rigid scripts; you can riff credibly while staying structured

  • Ability to move quickly and operate effectively in ambiguity in a startup environment

Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with programmatic SEO, content operations at scale, or AI search strategies

  • Demonstrated use of LLMs or agents in SEO workflows (research automation, clustering, briefing, internal tooling, etc.)

  • Experience partnering closely with sales or GTM teams as a strategist, solutions consultant, or growth partner

Position Location This role is based in our Hayes Valley office in San Francisco and requires in-person collaboration three (3) days per week. We offer paid relocation for candidates outside the San Francisco Bay Area.

Compensation The base salary range for this role is $120,000- 140,000, depending on experience, plus performance-based variable compensation and meaningful equity in daydream.

What you’ll love

  • Health coverage includes medical, dental, and vision with HSA and FSA options, plus One Medical, Talkspace, and Teladoc

  • Commuter benefit includes a monthly reimbursement to support your commute to the office

  • Meals on us include lunch reimbursement on in-office days, with dinner covered when you’re working late

  • Personal well-being includes an annual stipend for gym, fitness classes, therapy, and wellness expenses

  • Learning and development includes an annual stipend for books, courses, and classes to support your growth

  • Team retreats include two company retreats per year to connect, collaborate, and reset

  • Monthly team time includes regular dinners and outings to spend time together

  • Dog-friendly office (we have corgis)
