This is a remote position.

Rockstar is hiring a full-time Outbound Sales Development Representative on behalf of an industrial equipment distributor that sells and services electric motors, pumps, and related equipment nationwide.

The company can sell and service accounts in every state but currently relies on in-person territory reps to generate leads. This role exists to scale that reach through the phone: the VA will cold call municipalities, schools, colleges, hospitals, and facilities managers and engineers across the country to introduce the company and open doors for the sales team. This is educational, relationship-first B2B outreach, not high-pressure selling, the company's approach is built around each salesperson acting as an educator on pumps, motors, and industrial equipment, and this VA extends that same approach by phone.

About the Client

This is a family-owned distributor of pumps, motors, and industrial equipment for water, wastewater, air, and industrial applications, in business since 1944. Known for high-quality, reliable products and strong technical expertise, they support customers across a wide range of industries, from municipalities and schools to hospitals and industrial facilities.

The company operates with a lean sales structure and no dedicated in-house cold-calling team today, this role is central to changing that and expanding their reach into new states and territories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cold call prospective accounts, including municipalities, colleges, schools, hospitals, and facilities managers/engineers, to introduce the company and its services
  • Identify and pursue new B2B leads across a nationwide territory
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach and pipeline activity in the CRM (Bigin by Zoho)
  • Use ZoomInfo to source accurate contact information for target accounts
  • Coordinate and hand off warm leads to the appropriate sales representative for follow-up
  • Represent the company's brand and approach professionally, positioning outreach as educational and consultative rather than pushy or transactional

Tools & Systems

  • Bigin by Zoho (CRM)
  • ZoomInfo (contact and account research)
  • ServiceTitan (estimates and orders, familiarity a plus)
  • Phone and email for outbound outreach

Requirements
  • 3-5 years of sales experience required
  • Comfortable with high-volume outbound cold calling
  • Excellent, clear English communication and professional phone presence, this is a hard requirement given the technical and municipal/institutional prospect base
  • Mechanical knowledge or aptitude preferred, comfort discussing industrial equipment concepts is a plus
  • CRM experience required (Zoho/Bigin experience a plus, but experience with any major CRM is acceptable)
  • A consultative, relationship-building approach rather than an aggressive or pushy sales style

Non-Negotiables

  • 3-5 years of sales experience
  • Some mechanical knowledge or aptitude
  • Not pushy on the phone, this is an educational, relationship-first approach

Benefits
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth.
  • Work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
  • Make a meaningful impact by helping to build and strengthen families across the Globe
