About the role

A Partner Development Associate (PDA) is energetic, driven, and resilient, and owns outbound prospecting and lead generation for Ellevation. Working within the Sales team, you'll identify, qualify, nurture, and deliver high-quality opportunities for our Partner Development Managers to present to prospective partner school districts. To hit monthly demo booking goals, you'll combine email, phone, and creative outreach. Along the way, you'll become fluent in the full Ellevation product suite and gain firsthand insight into how our sales cycle works. We're looking for someone independent, curious, and research-oriented.

Your Growth Path

    Your growth pathWithin 1 month, you will:
  • Onboard and learn about Ellevation and our work improving outcomes for multilingual learners.

  • Learn your assigned prospecting territory and the key selling points for an initial set of states.

  • Learn fundamental email marketing and phone outreach skills that drive prospecting.

  • Collaborate with Partner Development Managers to design a prospecting strategy for key markets that aligns with quarterly and annual sales goals.

  • Get up to speed on our business systems and sales enablement tools.

  • Book your first demos.

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Begin to own your territory strategy and make recommendations to Partner Development Managers on where to concentrate effort; extend prospecting to your full set of states.

  • Refine cold-calling and email marketing skills, and sustain a consistently high volume of daily outbound calls to drive weekly lead generation.

  • Build proficiency with our business systems and sales enablement tools, and find ways to accelerate prospecting.

  • Hit your monthly demo booking goals.

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Become an expert on Ellevation's lead-generation process.

  • Build proficiency with the Ellevation product suite and deepen product knowledge.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on efforts that support brand recognition, product marketing, and pipeline.

  • Master fundamental cold-calling and email prospecting skills.

  • Hit and exceed your monthly demo booking goals.

Within 12 months, you will:

  • Master Ellevation's lead-generation process and mentor newer PDAs as they ramp up.

  • Refine your product knowledge to the point where you can speak to how districts use Ellevation to demo our products.

  • Lead or primarily support additional marketing efforts that generate high-quality content for company-wide brand and product marketing.

  • Actively identify and pursue your next role at Ellevation, whether that's a Partner Development Manager position or another growth path; PDAs are expected to move into their next role within their first two years, and your manager will support you as you apply internally.

  • Continue to hit and exceed demo booking goals.

  • [0-2] years of experience in education, sales, business development, or another customer-facing role.

  • A track record of meeting or exceeding goals in a metrics-driven environment.

  • Comfort with high-volume phone and email outreach, and a willingness to experiment with new outreach approaches.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Familiarity with a CRM and sales engagement tools is a plus.

  • Genuine interest in education and improving outcomes for multilingual learners.
