About the Role

The Partner Operations Manager will build the operational foundation that enables Happen’s personal loan partnerships to launch, scale, and perform reliably. You’ll bring structure to complex cross-functional work across Product, Engineering, Credit, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Analytics, creating the workflows, governance, and visibility that keep partner initiatives moving. Success in this role means faster execution, stronger controls, clearer accountability, and a more scalable partner operating model.

What You'll Do

  • Build and continuously improve scalable operating workflows for partner onboarding, launches, marketing changes, product enhancements, compliance reviews, and ongoing partner management
  • Partner with the internal team on cross-functional delivery plans from concept through execution, managing milestones, dependencies, approvals, risks, decisions, and launch-readiness requirements while driving open items to resolution
  • Support the coordination of regulatory examinations, audits, compliance reviews, and internal control activities by organizing evidence, managing deadlines, tracking remediation items, and maintaining clear documentation
  • Create and maintain a reliable source of truth for partner agreements, contacts, product configurations, technical requirements, marketing materials, approvals, key decisions, and operating procedures
  • Monitor partner and business performance, investigate trends and anomalies, and translate findings into clear actions, recommendations, and follow-up
  • Lead recurring operating cadences and develop concise executive updates that communicate performance, risks, decisions, priorities, and recommended next steps
  • Identify opportunities to simplify or redesign manual, duplicative, or unclear processes, using AI and automation where appropriate to improve speed, quality, accountability, and visibility
  • Contribute to the operational response to urgent partner issues and special initiatives, applying sound judgment to balance speed, partner needs, regulatory requirements, and long-term scalability

About You

  • 4+ years of experience in partner operations, business operations, program management, implementation, or a related field within fintech, banking, consumer lending, or a high-growth technology company; bachelor's degree in a related field; or equivalent work experience
  • You have experience building or supporting operational workflows, playbooks, governance structures, documentation systems, and repeatable processes that improve how teams execute
  • You bring strong program management skills and can create clarity in ambiguous situations while managing dependencies, risks, priorities, and a high volume of moving pieces
  • You take ownership of outcomes, proactively identify what needs to happen next, and influence cross-functional stakeholders to reach decisions and deliver on commitments
  • You have experience supporting audits, regulatory examinations, compliance reviews, third-party oversight, or other documentation-intensive control processes
  • You are comfortable interpreting dashboards and business performance reporting, investigating changes, and translating data into practical actions and recommendations
  • You communicate complex information clearly and can adapt the level of detail depending on your audience
  • You actively look for ways AI and emerging tools can improve workflows and output quality, while applying strong judgment around accuracy, data sensitivity, controls, and where human review matters most

Nice to Have

  • Experience with unsecured personal loans or another consumer credit product

Experience working across both a regulated financial institution and a fast-paced fintech or technology environment

Familiarity with digital lending funnels, partner integrations, APIs, and third-party marketing or distribution channels

Knowledge of third-party risk management, marketing compliance, and consumer lending regulations
