About the role

Gamma is becoming the visual communication layer that works everywhere, not just on gamma.app but inside Claude, ChatGPT, Glean, Slack, and every surface where teams already do their work. Our API is live and growing fast, MCP connectors are in production with major LLM providers, and inbound partnership interest is accelerating.

We're looking for a Partnerships Lead to own the full lifecycle of platform partnerships: from opening conversations and structuring deals to driving post-launch growth. You'll take partnerships from first conversation to live integration generating revenue, then make sure they compound. There's no formal partner program yet, just a growing pipeline and a strategic framework. You'll build it from zero to one: designing the structure, writing the playbook, and executing deals simultaneously.

You'll work closely with the Head of Platform & Partnerships and collaborate across product, engineering, sales, and marketing to ensure every partnership delivers real value for Gamma and our partners.

Our team has a strong in-office culture and works in person 4–5 days per week in San Francisco. We love working together to stay creative and connected, with flexibility to work from home when focus matters most.

What you'll do
  • Own partner relationships end-to-end: sourcing, qualifying, structuring, negotiating, and closing across marketplace, embedded, and co-branded partnership models

  • Drive post-launch growth for live integrations (Glean, Atlassian, Claude, ChatGPT, and others), including co-marketing campaigns, deeper integration roadmaps, usage optimization, and revenue expansion

  • Develop and iterate on commercial models for different partner types: wholesale credit pricing, referral structures, design partner terms, and enterprise co-sell motions

  • Identify and prioritize new partnership opportunities by evaluating strategic fit against acquisition, ARR, and retention impact

  • Coordinate with Sales and Customer Success on accounts where partner and direct motions overlap, ensuring alignment on attribution and customer experience

  • Build and refine the partner program alongside leadership, including tiers, incentives, support levels, and partner enablement materials

What you'll bring
  • 5+ years in partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances at a SaaS or platform company, ideally one that sells through or alongside other platforms

  • Experience structuring and closing commercial deals with technology partners: marketplace listings, API integrations, embedded arrangements, or co-sell agreements

  • Comfort working across the full deal lifecycle and cross-functionally. You can write the first outreach email, lead a negotiation, coordinate with legal on contracts, and align engineering, sales, and marketing without needing to be managed across those relationships

  • Ability to hold a technical conversation about APIs, OAuth, MCP, and integration architecture without being an engineer. You can sit across from a partner's product team and understand what they're building

  • A clear framework for prioritization: you'll inherit active conversations and a portfolio of live integrations, and you need a system for deciding where to invest time and when to let something sit

  • Proactive and self-directed, with comfort operating in ambiguity. You're building the partner program as you run it.

  • Experience in the AI/LLM ecosystem, developer platforms, or marketplace partnerships is a plus (Nice to have)

Compensation range:

The base salary for this full-time position, which spans multiple internal levels depending on qualifications, ranges between $200K - $250K plus benefits & equity.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to experience and expertise in the requirements listed above.

If you're interested in this role but you don't meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply anyway! We're always excited about meeting great people.

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
