About the Team

The Payroll Manager will be part of the Accounting team at Cardlytics, with a primary focus on delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations across the organization. The Accounting team ensures the company’s financial records are audit-ready and supports Cardlytics’ card-linked marketing platform by partnering closely with teams across the business. Within this group, payroll plays a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, employee trust, and regulatory compliance. About the Position

Cardlytics is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations, reporting to the Director of Corporate Accounting. 

This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll, including processing, auditing, and administration. The Payroll Manager ensures payroll is executed accurately, on time, and in full compliance with all applicable government regulations and company policies.

You will

  • Own and manage the end-to-end payroll process for semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll

  • Partner closely with the People team, Accounting, and other departments to ensure accurate payroll processing and recordkeeping

  • Develop, document, and implement payroll policies and procedures

  • Identify process gaps and implement best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy

  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and tax regulations

  • Support payroll-related audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests

  • Perform other duties as assigned 

You have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

  • CPP or similar payroll certification

  • At least 1 year of experience with Workday Payroll

  • Workday Payroll and Reporting certifications preferred

  • Solid understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills

  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion

  • Self-motivated and adaptable in a rapidly evolving business environment

  • Extremely organized, data-driven, and comfortable managing multiple priorities

  • Proficient with Workday Payroll 

  • Quick to learn new systems and applications

Technical Environment

We primarily use macOS and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides). While our preferred platform is macOS, we support both macOS and Windows. Familiarity with or willingness to work within this environment is required.
