Overview

Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional Quality Engineer to join our IC Operations-Quality team in the USA. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.  

  

As a Quality Engineer, the candidate will be reporting to the QA Director and is a full-time position. We are looking for innovative, proactive, and experienced quality engineer to support customer quality and drive supplier quality to consistently meet Rambus and customer requirements.  


Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for the majority of our office-based roles. We encourage employees to spend an average of at least three days per week working onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.  

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates customer requirements review with various teams to ensure Rambus has the capability and capacity to support the requirements. 
  • Acts as the main day to day contact for customers on issues and requirements and collaborates with the internal teams and suppliers for a timely issue or request resolution. 
  • Provides support and coordination of customer quality surveys and audits of Rambus or its suppliers. 
  • Manages and supports customer’s new product approval process and requirements. 
  • Direct interface and collaboration with suppliers to monitor and control supplier quality. 
  • Manages the flow down of special requirements to suppliers and ensures consistent compliance. 
  • Conducts supplier quality audits and periodic reviews, covering QMS and processes. 
  • Drives supplier quality improvements through supplier audits, supplier quality reporting and corrective actions.

Qualifications
  • BS Degree in an Engineering discipline.  
  • Min. 5 years’ experience in Quality Engineering supporting customers and suppliers, in the semiconductor industry. 
  • Auditor certification (ISO 9001, Supplier Audit), a plus 
  • Possesses excellent problem-solving skills and use of analytical and problem-solving tools. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group internally and externally with customers and suppliers.

Rambus offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, bonus, equity, matching 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, comprehensive medical and dental benefits, time-off program, and gym membership.  


The US salary range for this full-time position is $141,000 to $212,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
