Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pediatric Neurologist with experience or advanced training in epilepsy to join our growing pediatric neuroscience program at Valley Children’s Healthcare.
This is an exciting opportunity for a pediatric neurologist with a strong interest in epilepsy to join a collaborative neuroscience team caring for children with complex neurological conditions throughout Central California. The successful candidate will play an important role in the continued growth of our epilepsy program while maintaining the opportunity to practice across the broader spectrum of pediatric neurology.
We are seeking a pediatric neurologist who is passionate about caring for children with epilepsy and interested in contributing to the continued growth of a comprehensive pediatric epilepsy program.

Job Description:

The Opportunity

Valley Children’s is home to a Level 4 Epilepsy Center, providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment for children with complex and medically refractory epilepsy.

The incoming physician will work alongside pediatric neurologists, pediatric neurosurgery and a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive epilepsy and general neurological care.

Opportunity highlights include:

  • Join an established pediatric neurology and neuroscience program with a large regional referral base
  • Provide evaluation and longitudinal management of children with epilepsy, including complex and medically refractory epilepsy
  • Participate in the continued development and growth of our Level 4 Epilepsy Center
  • Collaborate closely with pediatric neurosurgery and multidisciplinary teams in the evaluation of patients for epilepsy surgery
  • Participate in EEG interpretation and epilepsy monitoring based on training and experience
  • Care for patients across both epilepsy and general pediatric neurology
  • Access advanced neurodiagnostic, imaging and treatment resources
  • Work collaboratively with neuropsychology, critical care, rehabilitation medicine, genetics and other pediatric subspecialties
  • Opportunities to develop a clinical niche or expand an existing area of expertise
  • Participate in program development, quality improvement and education
  • Teaching opportunities with residents, fellows and other learners
  • Serve children from throughout Central California who rely on Valley Children’s for highly specialized neurological care

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a pediatric neurologist who is passionate about caring for children with epilepsy and interested in contributing to the continued growth of a comprehensive pediatric epilepsy program.

Qualifications include:

  • MD or DO degree, or international equivalent
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology
  • Experience or advanced training in the diagnosis and management of pediatric epilepsy
  • Fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology is preferred
  • Experience with EEG interpretation strongly preferred
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of California
  • Commitment to collaborative, multidisciplinary and family-centered pediatric care

Physicians completing fellowship training as well as experienced pediatric neurologists are encouraged to apply.
