About the Role

We’re hiring a People and Compliance Site Lead to provide on-site support for our Santa Clara Operations & Vehicle Facility, with regular support also needed at our South San Francisco location. This is a hands-on, on-site role focused on ensuring strong daily execution, workforce readiness, and adherence to site standards and regulatory requirements.

You’ll act as an on-site operational partner to site leadership, focused on observing how work gets done, auditing processes and systems, and identifying gaps early to keep teams ahead of safety, compliance, and execution risks. This role ensures issues are addressed before they escalate and does not own employee relations investigations.

About the Work

  • Monitor day-to-day site execution, workforce readiness, and adherence to policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular observations and audits across shifts to identify gaps in operations, safety, and manager consistency
  • Administer on-site drug screenings and readiness checks in line with company policy
  • Perform audits across attendance, onboarding, training completion, and documentation quality
  • Identify patterns, risks, and process breakdowns; document and escalate as needed
  • Flag fitness-for-duty concerns and initiate appropriate escalation
  • Partner with frontline managers to drive corrective actions and track follow-through
  • Maintain clear documentation of observations, issues, and trends
  • Conduct breakroom and team space facility audits and communicate any findings with the workplace team
  • Assist with post shift-supervisor timecard audit review and to ensure that team time edits are all submitted on-time
  • Co-lead team chat sessions with site leads to gather valuable team feedback and assist in developing team action plans.
  • Assist site leads with review of attrition data and provide insights and support follow-up to address trends
  • Leverage and implement AI tooling to improve workflows, reporting and controls activity to maximize site operations and compliance
  • Provide regular insights to site leadership and HRBPs on risks and improvement opportunities

About You

  • 3+ years in operations, safety, compliance, or similar site-based roles
  • Experience in fast-paced or 24/7 environments
  • Strong judgment and ability to operate independently in real-time fluid situations
  • Experience with audits, inspections, or process reviews
  • Ability to identify patterns and root causes across operational issues
  • Clear communicator who can document and escalate effectively
  • Comfortable influencing without direct authority
  • Professional and discreet in sensitive situations
  • Willingness to work on-site with occasional off-hours support

Bonus Points

  • Experience administering drug tests in a regulated environment, including proper handling, documentation, and compliance with applicable protocols
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or similar environments
  • Familiarity with safety protocols (e.g., fitness-for-duty, reasonable suspicion)
  • Experience working cross-functionally with EHS, HR, or Safety teams
  • Background in high-growth or scaling environments
