About the Role:

As a People Generalist at Extend, you will play a lead role with respect to all internal communications and design People programs that drive performance and foster a strong organizational culture. You’ll act as both a strategic advisor to employees and be involved in the day-to-day People operations of a fast-paced and fun tech company.  You will work on a wide array of People matters, including communications, talent management, recruiting, learning and development.

This role requires someone who is proactive, solutions-oriented and passionate about creative solutions and impactful employee experiences. Equally important is the ability to work cross-functionally across the company and balance employee considerations with business priorities. This position requires hands-on tactical work and client service as well as strategic advice and leadership coaching. Strong experience in multiple human resources disciplines is necessary coupled with business acumen and judgment. If you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, want to be part of a fun and hardworking team and have a passion for connecting People programs with business success, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the development and execution of Extend’s internal communication calendar and strategies related to key People programs, ensuring employees across all levels are informed, engaged and aligned with changes to policies, procedures, upcoming news, and key initiatives.
  • In partnership with leadership and the People team, create and manage content for internal channels (emails, Slack, All Hands, manager meetings, etc.) to ensure clear, engaging and consistent messaging and alignment companywide.
  • Manage all communication efforts and proactively address potential communication challenges.
  • Support day-to-day People functions, including onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, and offboarding processes.
  • Serve as a liaison for managers to kick off recruitment efforts and ensure adherence to external branding and process best practices.
  • Provide guidance on performance management, employee relations, and talent development to ensure fair, consistent, and effective practices, as well as positively impact teams and the company more broadly.
  • Continuously analyze and recommend solutions on People Team processes. In particular, proactively identify issues and solutions to continuously improve People infrastructure, policies, and processes.
  • Work closely with managers and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention, embracing corporate values and culture to support continued growth and success.
  • Maintain People records and required compliance documentation.
  • Cross-functionally collaborate with teams and executives to plan, implement and execute successful on-site(s).
  • Oversee all learning and development programming (including Mento and LinkedIn Learning, among others).

What We Are Looking For:

  • At least 5 years of directly applicable experience in Human Resources as a business partner, consultant or generalist.
  • Proficient in using HRIS systems (e.g., Dayforce, Greenhouse, Culture Amp) for identifying process improvements and efficiencies, data management, and generating detailed reports and analytics.
  • Ideally, experience working in a high volume, fast-paced start-up or large organization environment.
  • Resilience, flexibility and the ability to work quickly and effectively cross-functionally.
  • Resourceful and curious to solve problems that you have not encountered before - a strong, fast, and adaptable learner.
  • Excellent judgment and superior emotional intelligence.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proven track record of working with, coaching, and influencing senior leaders.
  • Prior experience managing the planning, development, implementation, and administration of People Team Programs.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
  • Bachelor's degree required with a preference for an advanced degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, Psychology, or other related fields of study.

Estimated Pay Range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year salaried*

*The target base salary range for this position is listed above. Individual salaries are determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, work location and job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
