As a Performance Messaging Intern on the Performance Marketing team, you will help teams worldwide, from startups to enterprises, using Atlassian tools. You will collaborate with digital marketers to enhance campaigns that target and retain customers, with a focus on email and in-product messaging channels.
This role provides a strong foundation in digital marketing, encompassing data analysis, content creation, product launches, brand strategy, targeting, segmentation, and collaboration with our broader marketing organization, all supported by a collaborative, cross-skilled team.
The Performance Messaging team sends out hundreds of emails and in-product messages per month to millions of contacts, creating awareness, driving adoption, and generating revenue opportunities for Atlassian products. The Performance Messaging Intern will assist with marketing strategy projects that drive change in the email and in-product messaging experience at Atlassian. You will learn and help document messaging marketing programs that support hundreds of partners. You'll get exposure to how emails and in-product messages are developed by multiple business teams and use cases.

To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: - $35/hr - $40/hr
Zone B: - $32/hr - $36/hr
Zone C: - $29/hr - $33/hr
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

Minimum Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program (marketing, business, or related field) and returning to the program after the completion of the internship, graduating by June 2027
- Be able to commit to a full-time (40hrs / week) - 12-week internship
Preferred Requirements
- Have a basic knowledge of project management
- Skillset to problem solve by writing and communicating well
