Performance Test Engineer

As a Performance Test Engineer II you’ll be entrusted to design, execute, and improve performance and scalability testing for mission-critical federal technology programs. You will collaborate with engineering, DevSecOps, and product teams to validate reliability, scalability, and operational readiness across modern application environments.

What You’ll Do:

· Design and execute performance testing strategies including load, stress, endurance, and spike testing.

· Develop and maintain performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, k6, or Gatling.

· Define workload models, baselines, and service-level objectives aligned to release criteria.

· Analyze logs, metrics, and observability data to identify performance bottlenecks across applications, databases, and infrastructure.

· Integrate automated performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and quality gate processes.

· Support troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and remediation planning for identified performance issues.

What You’ll Need:

· 3+ years of experience in performance testing, software engineering, or application support with performance engineering responsibilities.

· Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, k6, or Gatling.

· Working knowledge of REST APIs, web application architectures, and performance metrics analysis.

· Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
