Job Summary

Personal Lines (Property & Casualty) and Life Insurance Specialist for the Insurance Agency within Flagstar Bank serving the clients of the Private Bank and Commercial Bank. Seeking a high performing personal lines/life insurance professional with demonstrated track record who thrives on building relationships and solving complex client challenges. Responsible for developing new business and delivering sophisticated insurance solutions to (U)HNW individuals, families, and C suite clients. This role specializes in personal lines property and casualty insurance while also identifying and advising clients om life insurance needs as part of a comprehensive wealth protection strategy. Working closely with Private Bankers, Wealth Advisors and Commercial Bankers, this candidate serves as a trusted advisor helping clients protect all the things that matter most to them like their home, autos, collections, personal liability and financial legacy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop new opportunities through referrals from Private Banking, Commercial Banking and other parts of the firm as well as from external COIs
  • Conduct comprehensive insurance portfolio reviews
  • Cross sell life insurance and other personal risk management solutions
  • Design insurance programs for affluent clients
  • Analyze existing insurance for coverage gaps
  • Quote and bind
  • Identify life insurance planning opportunities through financial conversations
  • Conduct life insurance needs analysis
  • Recommend solutions to meet client needs
  • Coordinate underwriting with carriers and partners.
  • Deliver concierge level service
  • Collaborate with bankers to prepare for client meetings
  • Participate in joint calls and client reviews
  • Perform annual policy reviews

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance training. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

  • Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent)
  • Active Property & Casualty License, Surplus Lines license a plus
  • Active Life Insurance License
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7 and 63/66 preferred
  • Proven track record of success working serving affluent clients
  • 5+ years of personal lines and life insurance sales experience
  • Deep technical expertise
  • Passion for delivering exceptional client service

  • Education level preferred: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent)
  • Active P&C and Life licenses
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7 and 63/66 preferred

Pay Range

$73,118.25 - $127,700.00
