Job Summary

The Pharmacy Consultant, Clinical Services, is responsible for building and maintaining relationships internally and externally with customers and related partnership groups and organizations. In addition, the Pharmacy Consultant provides consultation, coaching, training, and education to customers who partner in clinical program execution, helping to ensure greater adoption and utilization, success, and outcomes for their patients and pharmacies. The Pharmacy Consultant will report to the Director of Clinical & Technical Services and work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Marketing, Product Development, and Training.

Key Duties

· Actively participate in national and regional meetings of professional and industry pharmacy organizations, communicating issues, trends, and the future vision of the profession to the appropriate members of the RedSail Technologies team.

· Liaison and contact for pharmacy organization and industry meetings.

· Serve as a pharmacy and clinical services expert/liaison and articulate the company’s solutions, services, and program offerings to customers.

· Provide knowledge and expertise on pharmacy industry best practices, workflow, and service offerings.

· Provide Demonstrations of solutions and workflow processes to customers and partners

· Provide RedSail’s software and product development teams with clinical input into the development and enhancement of features/functionality

· Continuous Improvement efforts for both customers and internal teams

· Lead Customer Coaching and Consultative Clinical Calls

· Mentoring and Leadership for pharmacy-related interns/residency programs

· Assist in training and development (internally and externally)

· Identify opportunities for workflow and software utilization improvement and provide insights to customers.

· Serve as a source of industry and professional information and offer guidance as requested to the executive committee, product management teams, sales, account managers, and others.

· Serve as a communication resource when the peer-to-peer relationship is critical to customers.

· Maintain open communication regarding industry issues, news, and trends with peers across business units of RedSail Technologies.

· Works closely with the Marketing & Sales Department to ensure appropriate communication with RedSail Technologies customers.

· Attends and participates in relevant industry events and conferences to provide sales support, discover market trends, and be available to existing customers.

· Clinical information resources as applicable.

Education/Training

· Graduate of Accredited College of Pharmacy

· Pharmacist License in good standing

· Minimum 2 years of applicable experience

· Experience in both community/retail and long-term care pharmacy preferred

Preferred Work Experience/Skills

· Advanced understanding of all types of pharmacy practice, LTC, Retail, Specialty, etc.

· Advanced understanding of Pharmacy laws and regulations.

· Advanced knowledge of Pharmacy workflows in all practice settings.

· Advanced understanding of Pharmacy Business practices and ancillary business opportunities in pharmacy.

· Experience working with PioneerRx, BestRx, PrimeRx and/or QS/1 Software platforms.

· Intermediate knowledge of interactive opportunities with pharmaceutical manufacturers as they relate to RedSail pharmacies.

Discretionary Judgment

· Uses independent judgment and discretion based upon the employee’s experience in the position and knowledge of the products, equipment, and services.

· Uses good judgment and possesses ethical work values.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions, and General Employment Guidelines

· High levels of stress may be experienced in the performance of the job.

· Position is performed in a general office environment, home office, or approved remote workspace where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting to 25 lbs.

· Travel Required.

Equipment

· PC and various software applications.

· Moderate telephone usage, working with customers, prospects, and consultants.

· If new to RedSail, must develop a sound working knowledge of both PioneerRx, BestRx, PrimeRx & QS/1’s principal healthcare products and Network Service Program offerings and major services within six months.

Safety to Self and Others

· The job is performed in an office setting and/or remote location where there are no hazardous materials or equipment.

Working Conditions/Hazards

· Position is performed in an open office environment or approved remote work location.

Salary Range

· $140,000-145,000
