Description:
We’re looking for a Lead Platform Developer to own the architecture, scalability, and reliability of our core platform. You’ll lead a small team of engineers, define platform standards and patterns, and build highly available services and tooling that accelerate product teams. This role is part hands-on development, part technical leadership, and part cross-functional influence.
Essential Functions & Duties:
- Lead development of policies, standards, and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Infrastructure and Information Technology within the enterprise.
- Work with stakeholders, both leadership and subject matter experts, to build a holistic view of the organization's strategy, processes, information, and information technology assets and align the business goals with its IT strategy.
- Perform infrastructure capacity planning and ensure system environments are adequately scalable for anticipated growth and availability.
- Manage risks associated with information and IT assets through appropriate standards and security policies.
- Perform necessary assessment and prepare recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct and lead design activities including technology architecture, server topology, and environment placement.
- Manage or coordinate environment implementation in close cooperation with related teams to gain consensus and establish policies and standards.
Skills, Qualifications and Certifications of Best Candidates:
- Experience in all phases of systems development from concept through installation and maintenance
- Advanced proficiency in analytical, organizational, project management, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect
- MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect
- Seven (7) years of general experience in information systems, including four (4) years of MuleSoft experience
- Demonstrated experience with Agile development methodologies
- Ability to collaborate with implementation partners, and other intersecting organizations, using advance analytical skills to determine how best to design and implement solutions.
- Demonstrated experience with designing architecture which supports continuous integration and DevOps, including managing change across the environments, supporting automated quality assurance and quality control.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms and translate complex business rules into technical designs.
- Advanced knowledge of distributed, heterogeneous (Windows, Unix, etc.) scalable systems design; advanced knowledge of internet, intranet, and extranet systems design (security, content management, eCommerce, web, and application servers).
- Advanced knowledge of high availability/fault-tolerant systems design and transparent application fail-over; advanced knowledge of relational and spatial database design, logical and physical system architecture, and object-oriented analysis and design.
- Advanced knowledge of replication, backup, and disaster recovery design; knowledge of IT governance and operations+E92.
- Advanced knowledge of SOA concepts and related frameworks; advanced knowledge of system sizing, capacity planning and performance tuning, and storage and area network architecture.
- Advanced understanding of technology infrastructure and server topology; comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering.
Citizenship or Work Authorization Required:
- Ability to attain Federal Government Position of Trust.
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must pass a background investigation.
Required Education, certification & Experience:
- A BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution fulfills the educational requirement .

A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $150,000-$200,000
