Define and scale the AI platform infrastructure at Connectly to optimize conversational AI agents. Collaborate with technical teams for platform services, integration, and analytics.
At Connectly, we’re building the future of conversational commerce in Latin America, starting with WhatsApp. Our 360° AI engagement platform empowers retailers to sell, support, and scale directly inside the app their customers already use every day.
We’re a VC-backed Series B startup with a world-class team from Meta, Google, Uber, and other top Silicon Valley companies. We operate as a hybrid company, with offices in Bogotá and San Francisco, and distributed teams across Latin America, including Brazil, where many of our AI agent engineering efforts are based.
Job summary
- We’re looking for a Platform Product Manager to define and scale the foundation of Connectly’s AI platform, the infrastructure, tools, and capabilities that enable our teams to build, deploy, and optimize thousands of conversational AI agents serving some of Latin America’s largest retailers.
- This role is highly technical and cross-functional. You’ll work closely with the Platform Engineering Lead, AI agent teams in Brazil and San Francisco, and cross-functional leaders to build the platform services that make AI commerce reliable, scalable, measurable, and deeply integrated with the broader enterprise ecosystem.
- You’ll own the core platform roadmap: analytics, monitoring, configuration, deployment tooling, and integrations with third-party systems such as Meta APIs, CRMs, and eCommerce platforms like Shopify, VTEX, SAP, and others.
Responsibilities include:
- Define and drive the AI platform roadmap, focusing on scalability, reliability, and developer efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Platform Engineering Lead and technical leads in Brazil and San Francisco to scope, prioritize, and deliver platform infrastructure that supports rapid AI agent iteration.
- Design observability and analytics capabilities — instrumentation, dashboards, and metrics frameworks to track agent performance, latency, and uptime across thousands of deployments.
- Develop configuration and testing systems that enable engineers to safely experiment with prompts, flows, and integrations without affecting production traffic.
- Optimize LLM performance and cost-efficiency, working with engineering to measure and reduce latency, improve caching, and streamline model evaluation and fallback mechanisms.
- Own integration strategy with Meta APIs, customer CRM systems, and eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, VTEX, and SAP, ensuring reliable data flow and event synchronization.
- Partner with infrastructure and data teams to build scalable pipelines for analytics, monitoring, and experimentation across the AI platform.
- Codify best practices into platform features and tooling, enabling all Connectly teams to build customer-facing AI experiences faster and more reliably.
- Drive security, privacy, and compliance standards for all platform components and integrations.
What will make you excel at this job:
- Strong technical fluency and ability to translate complex system design concepts into actionable product requirements.
- Proven ability to work closely with engineering teams on backend, infrastructure, and data challenges.
- Deep understanding of AI system performance, including latency, throughput, caching, and model evaluation.
- Familiarity with cloud-native systems, data pipelines, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience defining metrics frameworks, observability systems, and testing infrastructure for large-scale AI or SaaS platforms.
- Passion for enabling others through tools, frameworks, and platforms rather than one-off solutions.
- Hands-on curiosity about the evolving LLM ecosystem, including emerging approaches to orchestration, monitoring, and evaluation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on platform, infrastructure, or AI systems.
- Technical background in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Deep familiarity with APIs, data pipelines, cloud systems (AWS, GCP), and enterprise integrations (CRM, eCommerce, messaging).
- Comfort working with data tools such as SQL, Python, or BI frameworks for decision-making.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially across distributed engineering teams.
- Fluent in English, and ideally based in or able to collaborate closely with teams in Brazil and San Francisco.
Benefits
- Be part of a mission-driven team redefining commerce through AI.
- Competitive compensation and equity participation.
- Unlimited time off and flexible working hours.
- Hybrid work culture with teams in Brazil, Bogotá, and San Francisco.
We believe that passion, curiosity, and a willingness to learn on the job outweigh years of narrow experience. If you’re excited about the future of AI-driven commerce and want to make a real impact in a fast-moving startup, we’d love to hear from you.
