Job Description

Platform System Engineer

As a Platform System Engineer, you will be responsible for the platform design of IT infrastructure and systems within a complex and advanced environment.

Your role: 

  • You will be part of our VUE Platform Team Informatics in Ra'anana and reporting to Eyal Windler, Platform and Infrastructure Manager
  • With Philips Radiology Informatics, you will be part of Philips Vue R&D team supporting us with the development of our Philips Image Management. Our solution provides a complete and scalable local and wide-area Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) solutions for hospitals and related institutions/sites, which will archive, distribute, retrieve, and display images and data from hospital modalities and information systems
  • You will assess new technologies and system-level needs to translate them into product and engineering requirements, while collaborating with  R&D and non-R&D teams to define product specifications
  • You will develop platform designs and deployment strategies, setting reliability targets, and approving hardware configurations
  •  Additionally, the role encompasses product support and management, covering installation, troubleshooting, feedback analysis, reliability evaluation, and continuous follow-up for improvement.

You're the right fit if

  • You have 7+ years of strong hands-on experience as an IT Platform expert or Architect
  • You are fluent in architecture and design across all systems
  • You have vast experience in physical and virtualized systems VMware installation, management, and implementation
  • You have experience in windows-based platforms
  • You have experience in networking, storage solutions and virtualization
  • You have experience in the product development cycle of multidisciplinary systems
  • You have experience working cross functionally with teams spread multiple regions
  • You are fluent in English and have excellent communication and documentation skills
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline (preferred)
  • You have experience working with a large multinational company (preferred)
  • You have experience with requirement documents such as BOM, system test documents, traceability matrix, etc. (preferred)
  • You have experience with PowerShell (preferred)
  • You have experience in the medical device industry and ideally with knowledge of medical imaging systems (preferred).

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This role is an office role.
