About the Company:

Tools for Humanity (TFH) designs and builds technology behind World. World is building a real human network designed to accelerate people in the age of AI. As bots and autonomous agents reshape the internet, people, institutions, and applications need a trusted way to confirm who is a real human while preserving privacy. The TFH and World tech stacks make this possible: the Orb verifies real, unique people, World ID proves it privately, and World App puts these capabilities, and more, in people’s hands. Together, they add a human layer to an AI-driven internet.

World is already running at a global scale. More than 17 million people across 160 countries have verified with World ID, and more new Orb verifications take place each week. World App is already among the most used wallets globally. Developers are integrating World ID to build safer online experiences and create spaces where real people can participate, earn, and be recognized in ways AI simply can’t replicate.

Founded in 2019, TFH has more than 400 people across hardware, software, AI, cryptography, mobile engineering, and global operations. Our teams come from OpenAI, Tesla, SpaceX, Apple, Google, Stripe, Meta, Coinbase, Palantir and MIT Media Lab. We’re backed by leading investors, including a16z, Khosla Ventures, Bain Capital Crypto, Blockchain Capital, Variant, Tiger Global, and Coinbase Ventures, as well as prominent operators and founders across fintech and AI.

TFH and World have been featured on the cover of TIME Magazine, highlighted in Fast Company’s Next 5 in Fintech, and explored in a Bloomberg deep dive. The New York Times, Bankless and TechCrunch have all recognized our collective progress in identity, cryptography, AI, and global-scale hardware deployment. Our leadership is also named to the Time AI 100. Learn more about the newest product launches from our Liftoff event.

About the team

The Integrated Communications team is responsible for helping to drive and shape positive sentiment and develop community regarding the World protocol. Tasked with creating and managing World's Integrated Communications efforts (both earned and owned), the team oversees everything from community engagement to earned media and content creation.

About the role

As the PR Manager, Ecosystem and Product Communications, you’ll be responsible for shaping how the organization shows up for our critical audiences: press, key opinion leaders, the builders, partners, and community working to advance our mission. You’ll surface their innovations, amplify their stories, and create programs that build technical trust and enthusiasm around the World protocol.

You will play a key role in helping drive awareness both internally and externally of the innovative work developers and partners are doing to support the World protocol, while also supporting broader product communications initiatives. As an embedded member of the integrated communications team, you will have the opportunity to work cross functionally, and in a global capacity, with the product, market operations, legal and marketing teams at Tools for Humanity to drive positive sentiment through both earned and owned media.

In this role, you will:
  • Develop an understanding of World Network, the markets in which it operates and its key audiences; craft and execute creative and high impact communications strategies that help spotlight the World ecosystem, with a focus on developers

  • Work closely with engineering, product, and ecosystem teams to identify stories of developer innovation, and produce communications materials such as launch announcements, technical deep dives, how-to articles, and success stories

  • Lead the development and execution of workshops, templates and other resources for partner and developer communications and marketing departments

  • Work closely with partners and developers to craft compelling and creative communications strategies

  • Build and maintain relationships with tech media and tech beat reporters at mainstream and web3 publications

  • Build and maintain “new media” relationships across platforms like Twitter/X, LinkedIn, tech YouTube channels, and industry-focused podcasts and newsletters

  • Support broader product communications initiatives

You might thrive in this role if you have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; 5+ years of experience developing and executing developer relations and partnership strategies

  • Exceptional writing and critical thinking skills; keen eye for detail

  • Self-starter and independent thinking who can thrive in a dynamic environment while not always having all of the information or details

  • Strong grasp of emerging media platforms with proven experience in identifying, engaging, and cultivating relationships with content creators, influencers, and cultural tastemakers

  • Experienced in staffing and coordinating photo and video shoots, including executive and on-site production support

  • Creative thinking with an ability to thrive in high pressure and crisis situations

  • Passion for the Web3/Crypto community and for work-related travel

Pay transparency statement (for CA and NY based roles):
The reasonably estimated salary for this role at TFH ranges from $174,500 - $205,000, plus a competitive long term incentive package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, TFH offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental, vision, 401(k) plan and match, life insurance, flexible time off, commuter benefits, professional development stipend and much more!
