The Team:

The Impact: 

Our Pre-Sales Consultants are responsible for providing business and technical expertise to support our Sales and Client Management teams. This role is focused on supporting our Private Markets business – encompassing both software and services. 

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Engage with prospective clients and understand their specific needs and challenges related to Portfolio Monitoring in Private Markets.
  • Present the software and its key benefits, demonstrating how it can meet the clients' requirements.
  • Provide product expertise during the sales process, including product demonstrations, RFI/RFP responses, Workshops and POC's.
  • Articulating technology and product positioning to business and technical users.
  • Providing expertise internally to Product Management teams to inform future development.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in the Private Markets, Portfolio Monitoring software space, and the consistent evolution of AI and its impact on finance markets.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates) 

  

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $145,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. 

  

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual bonus.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a client facing role such as Pre-Sales Engineer, Implementations, Technical Solutions, or a related role.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with experience presenting technical concepts and/or software to senior level business users.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and modelling.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience with LLMs (Claude, Chat GPT, Gemini, and Copilot) are a plus
  • Willingness to travel

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to assimilate and harness new information quickly.
  • Ability to handle objections when challenged in a one on many situations.
  • Highly motivated, positive, entrepreneurial, can-do attitude, creative, ownership driven, intellectually curious, dynamic, confident, professional and goal-oriented.
