As a Principal Architect at JPMorganChase within the Corporate Sector(Cloud Foundations), you provide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies, as well as support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Leverage your advanced architecture capabilities and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes. 
      Job Responsibilities

  • Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies
  • Applies enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate architecture analysis, roadmap development, and design decisioning, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data.
  • Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities
  • Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design, focusing on durability and reuse to improve velocity and quality across teams and functions
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Serves as the function’s go-to subject matter expert and contributes to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies
  • Establishes reuse-first AI-enabled engineering patterns and governance across SDLC/toolchain practices, ensuring traceability/auditability, resiliency, and security controls. 
     

    Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
     
  • Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and 10+ years applied experience 
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Expertise in one or more programming language(s)
  • Deep knowledge of software, applications, and architecture, including advanced software architecture, application development, and technical processes within one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment in architecture and engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Ability to evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into scalable platforms while meeting resiliency, security, and auditability requirements.
  • Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines
  • Experience leading a product as a product owner or product manager
  • Ability to present and effectively communicate to senior leaders and executives 
     

       Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  •  Experience working at code level
  • Familiarity with agentic AI tooling (Claude Code, Copilot, MCP) and its application to platform operations and engineer productivity
  • Experience with cloud landing zone and boundary constructs (portfolio, network, workload boundaries; trust scopes; SEAL-style architecture registration)
  • Background in developer experience, technical enablement, or platform advocacy roles
