As a Principal Digital Integrated-Circuit Design Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative team developing high-performance, mixed-signal, integrated circuits, including those with innovative data converters, power converters, and a variety of other circuitry in advanced CMOS processes. You will participate in and benefit from our company values and culture that include innovation, collaboration, execution, and continuous improvement. You will play a meaningful role in developing next-generation devices and ensuring that leading consumer electronics manufacturers can easily integrate our devices into their products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop CMOS mixed-signal circuitry through all phases of development from concept to production release.
- Participate in the design and development of a variety of digital and DSP IP blocks.
- Model control loops and signal processing algorithms using tools such as Matlab and Simulink.
- Contribute to conversion of subsystems into real-world designs for integration into final product.
- Evaluate, learn, and debug devices in the lab after design.
- Support post-silicon activities including product validation, characterization, and production test.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering and 10+ years of proven professional experience in integrated circuit design engineering.
- Experience writing Verilog RTL.
- Deep understanding of the digital design flow steps including architecture, design, validation, and design integration.
- Solid understanding of high-level modeling tools such as Matlab, Simulink, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of control theory and discrete time, z-domain, signal processing techniques.
- Hands-on lab test/debug experience.
- Strong collaboration through oral and written communication.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Expertise in discrete-time and continuous-time signal processing.
- Expertise of DSP algorithms, e.g. digital filters (IIR & FIR) and mixers, adaptive signal processing, FFT, etc.
- Expertise with ARM or RISC-V based SoC architectures.
- Experience with back-end flow including synthesis, place and route, and timing analysis.
- Experience generating functional test vectors for PTE.
- Skilled at mentoring less experienced engineers.
