We are growing rapidly and are looking for rockstars to help solve complex problems in this cutting-edge space. The Agentforce Planner team is looking for a technically strong, highly collaborative and accomplished Software Engineer to join our exceptional team of engineers. We work in a collaborative environment and we value transparent communication, critical feedback, passion, and having fun.
Responsibilities:

  • Build, scale and maintain critical features and systems within the Agentforce platform that are used by millions of end users
  • Understand the customer/business requirements and translate them to elegant, flexible, and easy-to-use platform capabilities
  • Lead and participate in Software Design and Architecture discussions and decision making
  • Drive the execution and delivery of features and systems by collaborating with architects, product owners, engineers, user experience designers and data scientists
  • Develop and approve test strategies, design automation frameworks, write unit and functional tests to drive up code coverage and automation goals
  • Lead and mentor junior members of the team, and act as a Technical Leader for teams
  • Adopt, embrace, and promote agile and test-driven software development practices
  • Be a multiplier and have a passion for team and team members’ success
  • Lead the team by example for technical excellence and help the team members make sound decisions

Basic qualifications and skills:

  • A related technical degree required
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience building, scaling and maintaining large scale, complex distributed systems in the B2B (or B2C) SaaS space that scale for millions of users and is available 24x7
  • In-depth working knowledge of Go and Python
  • Solid experience in developing/maintaining large scale microservices using public cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Heroku
  • Experience in REST based API development, API lifecycle management and/or client SDKs development
  • Experience in test-driven development with focus on unit testing, integration testing and end-to-end automation
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, and best practices in design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, pair programming, continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD)
  • Ability to support/resolve production customer escalations with excellent debugging and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Self driven with superior organizational and project management skills. Ability to work effectively in a distributed team setting
  • Available for on-call support on regular rotation basis

Nice to have skills

  • Experience with ASR, TTS, Telephony technologies.
  • Experience with modern AI/ML frameworks, systems, libraries, and patterns
  • Experience with websockets, gRPC, protobuf
  • Experience with Python, Java/J2EE technologies such as Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate and EJB
  • Experience with Data model design and familiarity with SQL and NoSQL
  • Ability to cross-over to help on the DevOps side of things (CI/CD tools, Terraform, Automation, etc.)
  • Experience using Analytics and Monitoring tools such as Pingdom, New Relic, Graphite, Sumo Logic and/or Splunk
  • Some Salesforce platform/ecosystem/implementation knowledge (either as a developer or as admin)

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $197,300 - $313,700 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $237,700 - $344,700 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
