As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission hasn’t changed — we’re here to stop breaches, and we’ve redefined modern security with the world’s most advanced AI-native platform. We work on large scale distributed systems, processing almost 3 trillion events per day and this traffic is growing daily. Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe and their lives moving forward. We’re also a mission-driven company. We cultivate a culture that gives every CrowdStriker both the flexibility and autonomy to own their careers. We’re always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role:

CrowdStrike Falcon Host is a two-component security product. One component is a “sensor”: software installed on client machines that observes system activity and recognizes malicious behavior, then provides on-box prevention capability and remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The sensor processes thousands of events per second to provide deep visibility into operations on the endpoint and performs rich correlation and computation to identify malicious events and blocks malicious activity.

The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry for each customer’s network, correlates malicious behavior across multiple machines, and presents our customers’ operations teams with a prioritized summary of the threats detected in their environments.

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to manage the Mac Sensor engineering team within our Endpoint Security product group. In this role, you’ll work closely with the team to define and deliver on our product roadmap as well as coordinate and collaborate with other product groups within the company on Mac sensor related architecture, releases, support, and development best practices. As part of the cross-functional Endpoint Security Product group, you’ll work alongside your team to design, enhance, and build numerous customer-facing features within our CrowdStrike Falcon product line including multiple static analysis-based detection and prevention capabilities, customer configured behavioral detections (custom IOAs), automated remediation, firewall management, and removable device control.

We’re a distributed workplace that leverages team productivity tools like Slack, Zoom, and Jira for day-to-day communication. Travel for face-to-face meetings is occasionally required and is typically used as an effective way to kick-off new projects or collaborate when working on larger initiatives.

PLEASE NOTE: This role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week on-site at one of the posted locations.

What You'll Do:

If joining CrowdStrike and becoming a key leader on a team that builds the most innovative endpoint security solution in the world sounds appealing, then you can help us by:

•    Helping your team grow by:

o Managing staffing across features and projects to encourage individual growth and cross training
o Monitoring execution and quality of team projects
o Providing thought leadership on Mac sensor related architecture, releases, support, and development best practices by collaborating with other teams across the company

What You'll Need:

•    3+ years of experience managing and scaling product engineering teams
•    5+ years of prior experience in software development
•    Experience working with cross-functional teams to ship major features and releases
•    Computer science degree or commensurate experience developing system software on mac OS with C++, Swift
•    Knowledge of low-level macOS internals
•    Some relevant experience with debugging memory corruptions, process contentions, and/or system performance
•    Solid understanding of software development best practices from appropriate testing paradigms to effective peer code reviews and resilient architectures
•    Able to communicate effectively across functions and throughout the organization
•    Able to thrive in a fast-paced, test-driven, collaborative, and iterative product development environment
•    Passionate about solving problems and delivering product features to customers

Bonus Points:

•    Background in scalable, lightweight, and highly performant systems
•    Background in designing and building software with shared cross-platform code and deliverables (Windows, macOS, Linux)
•    Knowledge and/or prior experience in Cybersecurity
