The Principal Portfolio Manager will develop and direct marketing strategies for visualization products, lead new product development, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify market opportunities.

As a Principal Portfolio Manager, on Stryker's Endoscopy team, you will help develop and direct marketing programs for the Visualization product category. In this role, you will help our business define and execute the strategy for the visualization and general surgery product segments. Stryker Endoscopy is committed to making health care better by partnering with healthcare providers to advance the standard of care.
This role follows a hybrid work model and requires on‑site presence at our San Jose, CA office 3 days per week.
What you will do
- Market & Competitive Strategy: Anticipate market shifts, monitor competitive activity and penetration, and adjust strategy based on healthcare trends and the evolving surgical visualization landscape.
- Customer & Segment Insights: Identify new customer segments and tailor marketing strategies to address current and future customer needs across the video platform portfolio.
- Thought Leadership & KOL Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and emerging thought leaders to inform strategy and innovation.
- Market Research & Opportunity Identification: Analyze qualitative and quantitative research to uncover unmet needs and translate insights into actionable product and service opportunities.
- Product & Portfolio Leadership: Lead the end-to-end new product development process (NPDP) for video and visualization products and oversee portfolio execution from launch through obsolescence.
- Cross-Functional & R&D Partnership: Collaborate with R&D and internal stakeholders to anticipate future visualization needs and align strategic assets to long-term portfolio goals.
- Commercial & Financial Acumen: Develop pricing, forecasting, and lifecycle management strategies aligned to business objectives, market potential, and competitive benchmarks.
- Clinical & Claims Support: Partner with Clinical Affairs to support clinical claims through trials, research grants, and cost-benefit analyses for visualization platforms.
What you need
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience
Preferred:
- Experience in medical device marketing, new product development or product life cycle management
- Experience in visualization portfolio (e.g., surgical imaging, video platforms, AR/VR)
$150,300 - $245,800 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
