At Viral Nation, we specialize in building social-first ecosystems for brands to connect with the modern consumer journey. Our integrated solutions align strategy, talent, media, and technology with culturally relevant creativity to scale the world’s fastest-growing digital brands. Viral Nation offers a fluid, creative, and growth-oriented environment that will support your ambitions to apply your talents in an open, collaborative, and fast-paced culture. Our ability to stay at the forefront of the industry has fuelled our success and will guide us in paving the path forward. We’re driven to push boundaries and think beyond today to deliver strategies, and we’re just getting started.

While we continuously exceed our goals, we need your help – our success is only as great as our people. Strong performance leads to high expectations, and we must keep raising the bar!

Viral Nation is looking for a seasoned Principal Product Manager to own the vision, strategy, and execution of our core data and platforms. This is a highly technical and strategic role focused on building the "data-as-a-product" foundation that powers our products, services, internal operations, and advanced AI workloads.

We are seeking a leader who thinks in terms of data architecture, scalability, and quality. You will be responsible for the roadmap of our data pipelines, data warehousing solutions, and the systems that make data accessible, reliable, and "AI-ready" for all stakeholders, from business intelligence analysts to marketing specialists. Your work will be critical in developing the data infrastructure that fuels our Big Data solutions and the next generation of AI-driven products and services.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Viral Nation's data platform, focusing on data pipelines (ETL/ELT), data warehousing, and analytics infrastructure.
  • Translate complex business needs and AI/ML requirements into clear, technical user stories and specifications for data engineering teams.
  • Develop a deep functional and technical understanding of our data architecture, from ingestion and transformation to storage and consumption, to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for innovation.
  • Partner directly with the AI Science team to define requirements and build scalable data solutions for tuning, evaluating, and deploying AI models.
  • Act as a key technical partner to data engineers and analysts, using your strong SQL skills to perform data analysis, validate data models, and ensure data quality.
  • Work in close partnership with data engineering, architecture, engineering, application, and AI teams to ensure our data platform meets their needs for reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the data platform, such as data freshness, pipeline uptime, and query performance, to drive continuous improvement.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new data technologies, tools, and partners (e.g., in the data warehousing, transformation, or observability space) to enhance our platform capabilities.
  • Work closely with the Product, Engineering, DevOps and AI teams to align the data platform roadmap with overarching technology goals.
  • Be comfortable in a highly dynamic, agile environment
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering, data warehousing, and AI systems.

What You'll Need To Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field — or equivalent experience demonstrating technical excellence and business fluency.
  • 7+ years’ experience in technical product management, with at least 3-5 years specifically focused on data platforms, data warehousing, or data infrastructure.
  • Strong SQL skills are essential. You must be comfortable writing complex queries, analyzing data, and validating data models independently.
  • Deep technical knowledge of modern data ecosystems, including data pipeline (ETL/ELT) orchestration (e.g., Airflow, dbt) and data warehousing concepts and architecture.
  • Direct experience with Snowflake (data warehousing, streams, tasks) is a major plus.
  • Strong knowledge of the concepts, tools, practices and techniques of product management and working in an agile environment.
  • Strong experience with agile project management and tools (Jira is required), particularly in managing technical backlogs for data engineering teams.
  • Experience with cloud data services, especially GCP, is a strong asset.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning concepts is a strong asset.

Compensation Philosophy:

Viral Nation does not use AI-enabled tools to screen, assess, rank, or select candidates in our recruitment process. Our hiring teams make all hiring decisions.
