About the Team

As a Principal Product Marketing Manager for Workday Data Cloud, you will play a key role in how Workday’s data and analytics solutions are positioned within the broader Workday platform. You will lead the development of high-impact narratives that bridge the gap between Data Cloud capabilities and the enterprise data needs of the modern technology buyer. This is a high-visibility role requiring a seasoned storyteller who can navigate the complexities of Cloud ERP, platform architecture, and data ecosystems to win the "hearts and minds" of CIOs and CDOs. You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver Tier 1 event content, global partner GTM plans, and differentiated messaging that separates Workday Data Cloud from the competition.

About the Role

Strategic GTM & Partner Narrative Leadership

  • Partner GTM Strategy: Work directly with GPO and Data Cloud partners to support and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans and joint messaging.

  • Holistic Value Proposition: Build and evolve the holistic value proposition for partners, ensuring a clear understanding of how Data Cloud enhances the Workday platform ecosystem.

  • Tier 1 Event Strategy: Drive the overall partner strategy and messaging for flagship events, including Workday Rising and Workday DevCon, encompassing keynotes, sessions, and executive narratives.

  • Data Thought Leadership: Develop thought leadership topics and value metrics specifically tailored to the Office of the CIO and Chief Data Officer (CDO).

Sales Enablement & Partner Storylining

  • Partner Demo Strategy: Manage high-level demo requirements and storylines with partners to effectively support the Workday field sales organization.

  • Integrated Enablement: Collaborate with Technology and Partner Enablement teams to build a comprehensive "Bill of Materials" (BOM)—including conversation guides, pitch decks, and technical whitepapers—focused on Data Cloud.

  • Content Deliverables: Lead the creation of Workday Data Cloud messaging and core content deliverables to be used across global regions.

Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning

  • Trend Analysis: Analyze global market trends in enterprise data solutions and gather feedback to inform long-term Data Cloud messaging and strategy.

  • Technical Differentiation: Partner with Competitive Intelligence to identify technical differentiators for Data Cloud that help the field win against legacy data warehouse and ERP incumbents.

About You

Experience & Expertise

  • Years of Experience: 10-12+ years of Product Marketing experience in enterprise software (SaaS).

  • Specialized Marketing Background: Proven track record in Partner Marketing, Platform Marketing, and marketing Enterprise Data Solutions.

  • Technical Fluency: Ability to translate complex cloud architecture, data management, and AI/ML concepts into business value for C-suite executives.

  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with ERP, Financials, or HR domain data is highly preferred.

Leadership Skills

  • Executive Presence: Experience presenting to and influencing senior executive stakeholders and partner leadership.

  • Program Ownership: Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs—from partner strategy ideation to global delivery.

  • Collaborative Mindset: A "silo-breaker" who excels at building trust across disparate teams, regions, and external partner organizations.

Travel Requirements
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for Tier 1 events (Rising, DevCon), partner-facing sessions, and internal strategic planning.

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Workday is an Equal Opportunity Employer including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.

At Workday, we are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive hiring experience where all candidates can fully demonstrate their skills. If you require assistance or an accommodation at any point, please email
[email protected].

Are you being referred to one of our roles? If so, ask your connection at Workday about our Employee Referral process!

At Workday, we value our candidates’ privacy and data security.  Workday will never ask candidates to apply to jobs through websites that are not Workday Careers.

Please be aware of sites that may ask for you to input your data in connection with a job posting that appears to be from Workday but is not.

In addition, Workday will never ask candidates to pay a recruiting fee, or pay for consulting or coaching services, in order to apply for a job at Workday.
