Position Overview

At Autodesk, we do what no other company on the planet can: provide our customers the technology to Make Anything. We are on a journey of significant enterprise growth. To maintain and accelerate our trajectory, we need exceptional transformation program leaders who can drive key organizational transformations across our go-to-market organization.

We are seeking an experienced Principal Program Lead to support Autodesk’s Transformation Management Office. This role is critical for Autodesk to achieve growth and cross-functional alignment. You will serve as the strategic integration layer for large, complex initiatives, partnering with our senior go-to-market leadership team to understand organizational goals, ensure cohesive planning, and prepare the business for continued change and evolution.

This role requires understanding the business and people strategy drivers across Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success, and ensuring transformations are delivered cohesively, with a high degree of confidentiality and cross-functional partnership. The ideal candidate will be able to see transformation as a system, diagnose and structure ambiguous problems, facilitate complex decisions, and help maintain consistent approaches to delivering transformations.

Reporting to the Director of TMO, you will play a central role in driving alignment to strategic goals, ensuring consistency across enterprise transformations, improving processes around organizational impacts, and ensuring change delivers measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Drive transformation program strategy and cross-functional execution end-to-end, partnering across Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and operations to deliver key organizational transformations and business results

  • Understand business drivers and customer segments and translate to program approach and outcomes to ensure organizational transformations deliver both growth and efficiency

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including business analysis, enablement, technical delivery, and change management — to define clear program scope, objectives, success metrics, and deliverables

  • Own cross-program integration and visibility, actively identifying and managing interdependencies and handoffs across workstreams, rapidly diagnosing where transformations are stuck, structuring ambiguous problems into actionable frameworks that surface root causes and drive resolution, and escalating risks to the appropriate leader or steering committee

  • Facilitate decision-making by establishing clear decision rights and escalation protocols and synthesizing complex, conflicting information into executive-ready recommendations with clear options and trade-offs

  • Manage relationships with senior executives to ensure alignment, visibility, and support for transformation objectives through strategic insights, incisive questions, and demonstrated value-add

  • Develop and refine standards, methodologies, and best practices for managing organizational change that strengthen our transformation capability across the organization and accelerate future change

  • Drive continuous improvement in transformation management processes, tools, and capabilities, fostering innovation and operational excellence

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of experience in strategy consulting, strategic program management, strategy & operations, or or go-to-market transformation, with 8+ years driving enterprise-scale transformations in go-to-market environments and deep experience in sales, marketing, customer success, or revenue operations

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex enterprise programs from initiation to completion across multiple domains

  • Strong ability to influence without authority, driving alignment across senior stakeholders and diverse teams

  • In-depth knowledge of program management methodologies, tools, and techniques

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging VP and C-suite leaders

The Ideal Candidate

  • Deep experience in driving mission-critical, strategic initiatives at scale

  • Low ego, high impact orientation; thrives on solving hard, ambiguous problems and energized by bringing diverse perspectives together to drive outcomes

  • Can collaboratively jump into unfamiliar situations, rapidly diagnose root causes, and structure ambiguous problems into actionable frameworks without being the subject matter expert

  • Asks incisive questions that surface hidden assumptions and reframe problems

  • Sees transformations as integrated systems (not functional swim lanes), connects dots across workstreams, and anticipates ripple effects

  • Drives to clear outcomes and deliverables with urgency and pivots quickly to address blockers while maintaining focus and momentum across multiple critical initiatives

  • Exceptional executive presence and communication — navigates and synthesizes complexity into actionable written, verbal, and presentation formats to drive alignment and decisions

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred
