Develops and executes RF system test strategies for laboratory, field, and on-orbit environments. Responsibilities include automating test equipment, designing radiated chamber setups and test rigs, analyzing RF measurements, documenting test coverage, troubleshooting root causes, and collaborating across hardware, software, mechanical, and systems teams. The role requires extensive satellite communications and RF validation expertise, successful product launch experience, and proficiency with Python-based automation and RF test equipment.
What you will do
- Understand system requirements and architecture in depth.
- Define test plans and test strategies for lab, field and on-orbit testing.
- Ensure timely execution, test accuracy and repeatability.
- Automate the test execution including control and configuration of test equipment.
- Document test results, test coverage and other KPIs and communicate to all stakeholders regularly.
- Design lab setups for various types of tests, including radiated chamber tests. Build racks and other test-rigs as necessary for executing the test plan.
- Work with external vendors for procuring components and equipment necessary to build test systems.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams – hardware, software, mechanical, systems, etc. – in different time-zones to ensure that system requirements will be met during operation.
- Deep-dive into test results and root-cause issues and communicate with the appropriate teams.
What you bring to this role
