NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working for us. If you're creative and passionate about developing cloud infrastructure, we want to hear from you! NVIDIA is looking for a highly motivated and creative solutions architect with experience in network interconnect to join the NVIDIA GPU Cloud Infrastructure team.

We are seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to design, implement, and optimize high-performance network interconnect architectures supporting cloud gaming platforms. This role focuses on low-latency, high-throughput, globally distributed networking solutions that enable real-time game streaming and player connectivity across regions, data centers, and edge locations. We collaborate with many internal teams, external ISP partners, and customers to design the best quality network between NVIDIA data centers and customer devices to provide the most optimal visual experience for cloud gaming users. In this position, you will be contributing to building network infrastructure used in products like NVIDIA GeForce Now.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Design and operate end-to-end network interconnect architectures for cloud gaming platforms by driving engagement with various tiers of ISPs to establish the optimal low latency packet routing paths for latency-sensitive gaming traffic.

  • Drive engagement with backbone providers, IXPs, and CDN/edge partners for cost optimized and relevant IP-transit and peering networks.

  • Focus on data center interconnect for multi regional edge data centers.

  • Translate business requirements for the product into scalable technical architectures.

  • Design traffic engineering solutions (QoS, load balancing, congestion control) involving capacity planning and scale testing.

  • Ensure redundancy, failover, and high availability across interconnects

  • Define observability to track metrics for latency, jitter, packet loss, and throughput.

  • Ensure secure network interconnects using encryption and segmentation abiding by compliance with relevant data protection and regional regulations.

  • Collaborate with internet service providers, DC operations, network engineers, cloud architects, cloud gaming backend engineers, product and operations teams and SRE.

What we need to see:
  • 15+ years of experience in network engineering, cloud infrastructure, or solutions architecture

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

  • Internet routing and ISP engagement experience

  • Strong expertise in:

    • TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, HTTP/2, QUIC

    • High-performance networking and low-latency systems

    • Experience designing large-scale distributed systems

    • Hands-on experience with cloud networking services

  • Experience with:

    • Multi-region architectures

    • IP transit and internet peering technologies.

    • Data center networking

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Internet routing and traffic shaping

    • Edge computing concepts

Ways to stand out from the crowd:
  • Experience in gaming, streaming, or real-time media infrastructure

  • Familiarity with game streaming protocols and encoding pipelines

Success criteria for the role is by achieving:

  • Reduced end-to-end latency for game streaming by improved network reliability and uptime.

  • Efficient inter-region traffic routing with scalable architecture supporting global user growth.

  • Cost-optimized networking infrastructure.
