The Principal Systems & Portfolio Program Manager oversees the strategic lifecycle, operational governance, and financial optimization of our global enterprise tools, software applications and asset portfolios. Acting as a vital link between Technical Product Owners, Finance, and Enterprise Leadership, this individual drives continuous application rationalization and leads robust procurement governance.
This role manages critical asset reporting via enterprise business intelligence dashboards, maintains corporate configuration and asset management databases (CMDB), and guides systematic tracking during corporate transitions and system integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Governance & System Lifecycles: Lead recurring business systems reviews with internal Technical Owners to evaluate software renewals, identify redundancies, and drive application rationalization efforts.
- Asset Database Management: Maintain and continuously update enterprise systems dashboards and configuration management databases (CMDB). Ensure absolute data integrity across all corporate tools, application inventories, and cloud subscriptions.
- Transition & Integration Management: Manage operational documentation, letters of intent, and verification trails regarding software non-renewals, subscription terminations, and complex corporate transitions or post-merger integration timelines.
- Vendor & Financial Compliance: Partner closely with finance and procurement teams to coordinate enterprise system approvals and maintain multi-year, auditable records of software assets submitted for financial sanction.
- Outsourcing Program Operations: Administer routine process-mapping and verification frameworks to evaluate operational vendor data, ensure contractual alignment, and securely handle sensitive, confidential vendor performance and workforce matrices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years of experience as an IT Program Manager, Business Systems Analyst, or Portfolio Manager within an enterprise IT or corporate operations environment.
- Tooling Expertise: Deep practical familiarity with enterprise asset management tools (such as Jira Assets/Insight, ServiceNow, or equivalent CMDBs), modern BI reporting dashboards (such as Looker or Tableau), and advanced data analysis tools.
- Core Competencies: Proven experience navigating corporate procurement lifecycles, software rationalization strategies, or corporate transitional timelines.
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills—comfortable auditing technical owners while summarizing macro budget and compliance risks for executive leadership review.
- Data Security: Demonstrated professional maturity and absolute discretion when handling confidential business data, organizational charts, and sensitive corporate restructuring frameworks.
