About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate-level Electronic FX Trader to join our London-based E-FX Trading team. This role sits within a growing electronic trading franchise and offers hands-on exposure to Electronic FX markets, close partnership with senior traders and quantitative teams, and interaction with global stakeholders across FX.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage operational and market risk for the Electronic FX Trading book.
  • Support the EMEA Lead E-FX Trader in developing and executing the European Electronic FX client franchise strategy.
  • Optimize Electronic FX client flow to maximize profitable volume.
  • Partner with Voice G10 and EM Trading teams to enhance execution efficiency and transparency across Electronic FX flow.
  • Support the continued electronification of non-spot products, including metals and NDFs.
  • Collaborate with the E-FX Quant team to deliver quantitative and technological enhancements to the Electronic FX platform.
  • Make sound decisions in complex, multi-faceted environments, applying a strong understanding of trading, risk, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues, drive initiatives, and achieve shared objectives.
  • Adhering to the risk fundamentals and appropriately escalating any conduct and risk issues to senior management.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in Securities Algorithmic Trading or a closely related electronic trading environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in FX markets, electronic trading, or market structure.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, risk-sensitive environment.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Exposure to FX markets, electronic trading, or algorithmic execution (e.g., spot FX, NDFs, metals, or related products).
  • Experience working with electronic trading platforms, order routing, or automated execution workflows.
  • Familiarity with market microstructure, client flow trading, and transaction cost considerations.
  • Ability to analyse trading data and performance metrics to support flow optimisation and risk management.
  • Experience collaborating with quantitative, technology, or analytics teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a risk-aware mindset.
  • Degree in a quantitative or analytical discipline such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
Job Expectations:
This position is deemed to be a Certified Person function under the FCA and PRA Certification Regime. You must at all times remain fit and proper to perform your role, and this will be assessed on at least an annual basis.
