This role is in office Monday to Friday.

The Role

The Market Leader (Vice President) role is a critical member of the Private Wealth sales organization, responsible for driving the adoption and growth of Blue Owl’s investment solutions across a defined territory and channel. As a VP, this individual will serve as a strategic partner to the Regional Market Leader and broader Market Team, leading high‑impact advisor engagement, advancing key distribution initiatives, and representing Blue Owl as a senior subject‑matter expert in private markets.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth by independently developing, deepening, and managing relationships with new and existing financial advisors across the assigned territory.

  • Execute a high level of proactive outreach through phone, email, virtual meetings, and in person engagement to expand advisor adoption of Blue Owl solutions.

  • Independently schedule and lead advisor meetings, portfolio reviews, and group presentations, leveraging in territory travel 1–2x monthly.

  • Strategically deploy senior sales and investment resources for high impact meetings within the territory.

  • Represent Blue Owl at partner firm and advisor conferences, acting as a senior point of contact for clients and prospects.

  • Maintain accountability for territory sales results, with a focus on generating new producers and expanding wallet share among existing relationships.

  • Provide exceptional client service, addressing product, technical, and competitive inquiries with a high degree of precision and professionalism.

  • Serve as a senior expert on private markets, competitor positioning, and the broader alternative investment landscape.

  • Partner closely with the Market Team—including the Regional Market Leader, Relationship Management Associate (RMA), and Sales Service Associate (SSA)—to develop and execute a data driven territory business plan.

  • Consistently meet or exceed sales goals and KPIs established for the role and territory.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6–10+ years of financial services experience, ideally within alternative investments or private wealth distribution.

  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 required.

  • Demonstrated success in a hybrid internal/external sales capacity with increasing responsibility.

  • Proven ability to independently manage sales territory and deliver strong commercial outcomes.

  • Ability to work in San Francisco, CA or Denver, CO territory.

The base annual salary range for this San Francisco-based position and Denver-based position will be $100,000 to $125,000. Actual salary offered will be based on the candidate’s skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
