Lead a junior engineering team on project prioritization and improvements, interface with customers, support production and quality, and manage process designs and continuous improvement projects.
Duties/Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned:
- lead junior engineering team: project prioritization, group organization, internal controls improvement, deliverable maintenance
- interface with customers and customer engineering groups
- interface with engineering process specific vendors and manage engineering purchase requisitions
- facilitate value added conversations amongst internal departments to drive process improvement
- drive root cause analysis between engineering and production/quality departments
- must be familiar with reading drawings, dimensioning, and GD&T
- must be able to use CAD based programs to generate 2D drawings and 3D models. Autodesk Fusion 360, AutoCAD or similar platform.
- Production support; equipment, tooling, process, failures, testing.
- RFQ review and support in the estimating cycle; will need to learn all our processes.
- Build routers / BOM’s in GSS for direct processes.
- Develop and issue process designs (sometimes working with customers)
- Design and 3D print fixtures to aid in metallizing, plating and testing.
- 2D drawings in AutoCAD for internal fixtures, racks, customer parts, vendor RFQs, etc.
- Work with the business development team and support NPI's – development to production.
- Manage continuous improvement projects and customer issues; drive innovation.
- Establish and maintain in-process work instructions for new process development
- Direct support to the quality team in XRF and complex CMM.
- Root cause and failure analysis on incoming, in-process and final stages of the service cycle.
Desired Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Materials/Chem, Industrial Engineering or equivalent discipline
- Materials engineering or material science background is preferred
Minimum 3 years working in a manufacturing industry
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $82,400- $140,100. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
