Summary Job Description: 

Our Digital & IT teams leverage the power of the latest technological advancements and Air Liquide’s history of industrial excellence to foster innovation and enable talent to thrive.

The IT Procurement team is responsible for developing category strategies (Software, End User Services, Telecom, Outsourcing) at the global level, providing procurement support for IT projects, driving efficiency gains, negotiating and managing contracts, and managing key vendors (maintaining and developing supplier portfolios by IT product category for all Air Liquide entities worldwide).

The team is spread across several locations in France, Canada, and Malaysia, which facilitates collaboration with all internal clients and suppliers. 

Key Responsibilities

IT Project Support for DDS (Digital Delivery Services) Americas & Airgas 

  • Works collaboratively with internal clients (primarily IT) and their teams to successfully negotiate and finalize contracts for infrastructure and application-related projects. 

  • Supports IT teams from the definition of requirements through to contract execution

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for DDS Americas & Airgas and ensures regular monitoring of projects and efficiency opportunities for these DDS units

  • Ensures that the sourcing strategy and project recommendations align with the strategy of the corresponding category (End User Services, Telecom, Software, and Outsourcing)

  • Understands the complexities and opportunities of IT supplier markets and possesses a comprehensive and relevant understanding of procurement needs and practices

  • Organizes and leads supplier negotiations in accordance with objectives

  • Develops and communicates procurement recommendations regarding supplier selection

  • Leads “spot” negotiations and identifies potential quick-win opportunities

  • Ensures the implementation of contracts or amendments and regularly updates the contract database

  • Measures, records in Smart Procurement, and communicates the savings generated by their projects

Required Qualifications

  • You hold a master’s degree in supply chain management (or an equivalent degree in engineering or management) 

  • You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in IT procurement 

  • You are proficient in procurement methodologies, negotiations, and project management

  • You are fluent in written and spoken English 

  • You have strong listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • You know how to influence decisions without a direct reporting relationship and can anticipate and challenge the needs of internal clients.

  • You demonstrate autonomy while also being able to work effectively in a team within a multicultural environment.

  • You are proactive and have a strong customer focus.
