The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Product Data Management Specialist (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the team based in Colorado Springs, CO.
The Senior Product Data Management Specialist will lead software configuration and data management activities for critical defense and space programs at our Colorado Springs site. You will drive PDM/PLM tool administration, enforce data governance, manage configuration baselines and change processes, and work closely with engineering, suppliers, and IT to ensure accurate, traceable product information throughout the lifecycle. This role is pivotal to delivering on-time, compliant systems and improving digital engineering practices across programs.

You will drive PDM/PLM tool administration, enforce data governance, manage configuration baselines and change processes, and work closely with engineering, suppliers, and IT to ensure accurate, traceable product information throughout the lifecycle. Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain and administer software configuration management (SCM) systems (version control, branching, merging)
- Define, implement, and enforce configuration and change control processes for software baselines
- Create and manage release and build plans, coordinate software builds, packaging, and deployments
- Track and audit configuration items, baselines, and change histories to ensure traceability
- Support continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and automated build/test workflows
- Review and approve change requests, manage configuration audits, and ensure compliance with process/policy
- Collaborate with development, test, product, and operations teams to resolve configuration issues
- Produce and maintain configuration management plans, procedures, and documentation
- Troubleshoot SCM tooling and process issues; recommend and implement tooling/process improvements
- Provide training and guidance to team members on configuration management practices and tools
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
- 3+ years of experience in product data management, configuration management, or related discipline
- Practical experience with PDM/PLM/CM tools (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA)
- Knowledge of software configuration management
- Experience with data governance, naming conventions, and traceability practices
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with suppliers and IT
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience using metrics/dashboards to drive improvements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Active U.S. Security Clearance
- 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- NDIA Certification
