What to Expect Working With Us

You will rewrite a massive industry with 10,000s of businesses.

You will be introducing technology to the moving industry, an industry previously untouched by software. By working with our customer base, you will provide them more time, revenue, and speed—radically uplifting the entire moving experience for everyone in the world. We accompany our customers every step of the way from the moment they partner with us to the end of their journey. We bring passion to what we do every day because what we do matters to real people.

You will likely determine the fate of our company.

We are a customer-driven team that tackles problems with empathy and logical reasoning. We aim to truly solve problems for our customers and accomplish this through a thorough process of problem discovery, user research, user testing, and iteration. We're looking for experienced, thoughtful product engineers who enjoy solving real-world problems and seeing their software used by thousands of people everyday.

You will work with a smart and action-oriented team.

At Supermove, we are trying to do what's nearly impossible – to create an enduring and iconic company. We are relentless and ambitious with all of our goals. We move extremely quickly, and prefer to iterate rather than deliberate. We always operate with full trust and transparency, knowing that our top priority is to achieve our vision to the best of our ability.

Your Role & Mission

As a Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience and interface of our products. Your work will directly impact how moving companies operate, making their tasks simpler and more efficient. You will collaborate closely with our engineering, product, and customer success teams to deliver exceptional solutons.

Quick Facts

  • We have closed our series A round raising $18M led by a16z—read more about it here.
  • We are a 40-person team of Pinterest, Asana, Meta, and Google alums.
  • We are early and the opportunity is massive. 10,000s of companies have not heard from us yet.
  • We close new customers every week and have >2x our revenue in the past year.

Role & Responsibilities

  • User Research: Get to know our users through research, interviews, and usability testing (mostly over Zoom, with occasional onsite visits).
  • User Flows: Convert loosely defined user stories to clear, actionable solutions and develop detailed user flows for seamless experiences.
  • Design Development: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that are user-friendly and visually appealing, and participate in post-development testing with engineers and customers.
  • Collaboration: Team up with engineers, product, and fellow designers to tackle design challenges and brainstorm product ideas. We also collaborate closely with the customer success and go-to-market teams.
  • Iteration: Continuously improve designs based on feedback and data from users and stakeholders. Participate in frequent design critiques with the EPD team to refine and improve design solutions.
  • Data-Informed Design: Use existing and new data to guide your design decisions, while also considering qualitative insights and user feedback for balanced, user-centric solutions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present your design ideas to stakeholders and incorporate their feedback during cross-functional and company-wide meetings.
  • Accessibility: Ensure that our designs are inclusive and meet accessibility standards.

What We're Looking For

  • You have relevant experience. You have 2-5 years of product design experience, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • You strongly advocate for users. Many of our customers are coming from pen-and-paper or outdated technology, so a knack for empathizing with users and understanding their needs through direct interaction and research is a must.
  • You have a high level of ownership. You feel comfortable taking initiative and driving projects end-to-end, even when you don't have all the answers yet.
  • You solve problems effectively. You have the ability to simplify complex problems into intuitive user interfaces.
  • You are a strong communicator. You have strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly explain your design process.
  • You adapt easily. Supermove is a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • You are a master in Figma (or similar). You're proficient in design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD. We use Figma here!

Why This Role

  • Ownership: You will have a large amount of ownership within the first 3 months of joining. You'll be able to jump into projects within your first 30 days, and own several features by the end of your 90 days.
  • Fast Iteration Cycles: Enjoy the opportunity to quickly test ideas, gather user feedback, and see your designs come to life rapidly, allowing for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborative Environment: You will work closely with cross-functional teams, contributing ideas and solutions in a culture that emphasizes shared learning and collective problem-solving.
  • Embrace Diversity: Join a company where people from around the world share their unique perspectives and enjoy a wide range of activities outside of work.

Additional Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation packages
  • Medical, vision, and dental coverage
  • Remote-first with teammates all around the world
  • Direct involvement in shaping our company strategy and direction

Timeline

  • Phone screen
  • CTO & hiring manager interview
  • Portfolio review
  • Three hour virtual final round with the founders and future team members
