About Persona

Persona is the configurable identity platform built for businesses in a digital-first world. Verifying individuals and organizations is harder — but more important — than ever, with AI enabling fraudsters to launch sophisticated accounts at scale and regulations evolving rapidly.

We’ve built Persona to support practically every use case and industry — that’s why we’re able to serve a wide range of leading companies. For example, Instacart relies on Persona to verify shoppers who onboard onto their platform before delivering groceries to your doorstep. Meanwhile, OpenAI relies on Persona to keep bad actors out, protecting one of the world’s most powerful AI platforms from large-scale abuse in a time when AI is reshaping the way we work and live.

We believe that making the internet safer and more human requires a team that reflects the diverse, global nature of the people we aim to serve. We’re growing rapidly and looking for exceptional people to join us.

About the role

As a Product Designer focusing on Platform and Systems at Persona, your role will be critical in shaping the foundations of our platform experience. This means diving into deep product work, collaborating with engineering and product on end-to-end problems, but also extrapolate your work toward pattern definition and standardization. The challenges you'll face require an aptitude for cross-functional collaboration, product complexity, and analytical systems thinking. Our teams are always iterating, evolving, and learning — we move fast. Your role will be integral in building a world-class platform experience.

What you'll do at Persona

  • Partner with our Identity Foundations and Data Products teams to build the most comprehensive solution to verify anyone, anywhere
  • Tackle complex systems configuration challenges that require technical aptitude and creative brilliance
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering to nurture and harden our design systems and pattern definitions
  • Help to foster a vibrant Design team culture advancing our craft, process, and thought
  • Advance clear and well-constructed points of view, backed by expertise, design rationale, customer data, and industry trends

What you'll bring to Persona

  • BFA or BA/BS degree in design, interaction, or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience
  • You’re incredibly curious and want to know the ‘why’ behind everything
  • You’re a great collaborator, able to manage and prioritize multiple moving parts and stakeholders
  • You’re proactive — you find opportunities instead of waiting for opportunities to find you
  • You're a clear communicator with a knack for story-telling
  • You think about patterns at scale and UX consistency
  • You can give and solicit feedback to raise the quality bar

Nice to haves

  • Frontend development, specifically proficiency in HTML, CSS, JS, React, TS
  • Hi-fidelity prototyping
  • Building or maintaining design systems
  • Motion and/or 3D skills
  • Experience designing for B2B/SaaS

Compensation & Equity

This salary range is the estimated base salary range. Base salaries are just one component of the total compensation package and are determined by a number of factors such as years of experience, expertise, qualifications and more. In addition to base salary, we offer competitive equity packages that play a big part in recognizing you for the huge impact you will have on helping us achieve our mission. Please note, the salary range is a guideline that is subject to change without notice.

Persona offers a wide range of thoughtful and inclusive benefits for this role, including medical, dental, and vision, 3% 401(k) contribution, unlimited PTO, quarterly mental health days, family planning benefits, professional development stipends, wellness benefits, unlimited paid time off, among others.
