About the Role

We are looking to expand our small but mighty team with an experienced product designer with great attention detail, sharp product sense and a passion for crafting delightful and thoughtful UX. We are designing novel AI-powered user experiences and workflows so creativity and interest in working with AI is a big plus. As our first full time Product Designer, you will:

  • Lead the UX and UI design for core product features from ideation through implementation
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs to communicate design solutions
  • Partner with engineering to ensure designs are implemented to spec and the final product delivers an exceptional user experience
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to validate designs and gather insights
  • Contribute to building our design system and evolving our design processes as the team grows
  • Provide input on product direction and help shape the design culture at an early stage

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS and/or marketplaces
  • Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design work across web and mobile
  • Expertise in interaction design, visual design, and design systems
  • Highly proficient with Figma
  • User-centered design approach and experience with user research and usability testing methods
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to operate autonomously in an ambiguous and fast-paced startup environment
  • Passion for the short-term rental space and empathy for hosts is a big plus
  • Contractor role with potential for full-time conversion
  • This role will require working PST hours
  • We have a preference for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area who are able to come into our office in San Francisco on a hybrid basis 3-4 days a week, although exceptions can be made on a case by case basis.

Why Join Us

  • Help establish the design foundation at a promising early-stage startup
  • Work directly with experienced technical founders to bring an ambitious product vision to life
  • Contribute to a product that will empower hosts and elevate the guest experience
  • Competitive compensation and flexible work arrangements

To apply, please send your resume, portfolio, and a brief note on why you're excited about ProhostAI. We look forward to hearing from you!

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
