About Jinba

Jinba (jinba.io) is a Y Combinator (W26) company building AI workflow automation for the enterprise. We convert natural language prompts into live APIs and MCP servers, serving 40,000+ enterprise users, including major banks and insurance companies.

The Role

This is our first design hire. You'll be the product designer at a fast-moving AI company, shaping how enterprises interact with automation tools from the ground up.

Until now, our founders and design engineers have owned UI/UX. As our product matures and our enterprise relationships deepen, we are building out our Product Org and looking for a Product Designer who can own the full design cycle, from discovery through to shipped product. You'll report to the Head of Growth and work closely with our founders and our product engineering team.

What You'll Do

  • Discovery & Research: Talk directly to enterprise clients, study the competitive landscape, and identify opportunities to improve workflows and user experience.

  • Prototyping: Create low-fidelity concepts quickly, run them by engineers and stakeholders, iterate based on feedback, and develop high-fidelity designs ready for implementation.

  • Collaboration: Work side-by-side with product engineers from design through shipping. You're embedded in the build process, not handing off specs over a wall.

  • Product Thinking: Contribute to product strategy, not just pixels. Help us figure out what to build, not just how it looks.

  • Design Systems: Begin establishing design patterns and a component library that scales as our product and team grow.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise software.

  • Strong portfolio showing end-to-end design work — from research and wireframes to polished, shipped UI.

  • Comfort working directly with engineers and speaking their language. You understand technical constraints and design within them.

  • Experience with enterprise UX — you know how to design for complex workflows, power users, and multi-step processes.

  • Proficiency in Figma (or equivalent) and prototyping tools.

  • Self-directed and high-agency. We're a small team; you'll have a lot of ownership.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with AI/vibe coding tools. If you've used Cursor, Bolt, Lovable, v0, Claude Artifacts, Replit Agent, or similar tools extensively, you'll have strong intuition for the space we're designing in.

  • A point of view on AI UX. We want someone who's not just following trends but thinking ahead — someone who can identify interaction patterns that even the leading AI companies haven't nailed yet.

  • Experience designing for developer or technical audiences. Our users are building automations and APIs; understanding that mindset is a plus.

Why Jinba

  • First design role at a YC-backed company with impressive revenue and enterprise traction.

  • Direct impact – your work ships to major financial institutions and enterprise clients.

  • Equity in an early-stage company with strong momentum.

  • Working on one of the most exciting problems in AI: making automation accessible to every enterprise.
