About Motorq

Every day, cars are wirelessly transmitting real-time data directly from their onboard systems. Most of that data goes unused.

Motorq (pronounced mo-torque) is changing that. We’re the leading Connected Vehicle Intelligence platform, built in direct partnership with the world’s largest automotive manufacturers — 25+ brands and counting. We deliver AI-powered solutions for some of the world's largest fleets, car rental companies, dealerships, and lenders, helping them improve operations, cut fuel consumption, and reduce accidents.

Our leadership team brings interdisciplinary experience across automotive engineering, AI, data science, and SaaS. Headquartered in San Francisco with offices in Seattle, Chennai, and Bengaluru, Motorq has raised a $40M+ Series B and is growing rapidly across new geographies and use cases.

We're a team of people who dream big, hold each other to a high standard, and run toward hard problems. If you want to own meaningful work at a company with real traction and a multi-billion dollar market opportunity, we'd love to meet you.

The Role

Motorq is building out its AI product layer — a cross-cutting set of capabilities that sits above our Data Foundation and Analytics core and powers every customer segment we serve. This includes agentic workflows, AI-driven insight engines, developer-facing interfaces, and guardrails that make AI reliable in enterprise fleet environments.

We're looking for a Product Manager to own this layer end to end. You'll define what gets built, why it matters, and how it reaches customers. You'll work in a tight pod with Engineering, Data Science, Design, Sales, and CS — moving fast, running pilots, and iterating based on real customer outcomes across use cases like vehicle recovery, fuel recapture, safety, and end-of-life recycling.

What You'll Own

  • AI product roadmap — Define and prioritize the roadmap for many of Motorq's AI and agentic workflow capabilities, balancing near-term customer impact with long-term platform differentiation.

  • Customer outcomes — Own the success of the products you ship. Define what 'working' looks like for each use case, set measurable targets, and track them relentlessly.

  • Discovery and pilots — Get in front of customers regularly. Run structured discovery, design and manage pilots, and turn what you learn into crisp requirements.

  • GTM and monetization — Partner with Sales and PMM to shape how AI capabilities are packaged and priced across Motorq's customer segments (fleet FMCs, rental, direct, lenders).

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Data Science to scope, build, and launch AI features — from LLM-powered insight engines to multi-step agent workflows

  • Define AI guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and reliability standards appropriate for enterprise fleet customers

  • Work with Design and UXR to craft interfaces that make complex AI outputs legible and actionable for fleet operators and their teams

  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to identify the right pilot customers, gather feedback, and drive adoption post-launch

  • Contribute to how AI capabilities are exposed via Motorq's technical interfaces and developer portal — thinking about the platform, not just individual features

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of enterprise B2B product management, with at least 2 years delivering AI-powered or data-driven products in production

  • Track record of shipping enterprise-grade software with cross-functional teams in a fast-moving environment

  • Nice to have: background in automotive, mobility, fleet management, or connected vehicle platforms

  • Strong analytical instincts — comfortable reading data, defining metrics, and building a case from evidence

  • Hands-on customer discovery skills — you know how to run interviews, read between the lines, and separate signal from noise

  • Technical fluency in AI/ML concepts (LLMs, agents, RAG, evaluation) — enough to work as a peer with engineers and data scientists, not just a translator

  • Clear written and verbal communication — able to align stakeholders, write tight specs, and present to customers

Logistics

  • Full-time role based in San Francisco Bay Area or Seattle

  • Hybrid working arrangement (3 days/week in office)

  • Travel (~5 business days/month, including 2-4 weeks/year in India)

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
