About NexHealth

Our healthcare system remains frustratingly analog. When you live in a world of one-tap car rides, instant meal delivery, and unlimited streaming, why do you still have to call to schedule a doctor’s appointment and fill out a clipboard in the waiting room?

NexHealth’s mission is to accelerate innovation in healthcare by connecting patients, providers, and developers. We’re building the infrastructure layer for modern healthcare, connecting thousands of fragmented, on-premise, and closed EHR systems into a single, modern platform that powers software, APIs, payments, and patient experiences across the ecosystem.

  • Founded: 2017
  • Headquarters: San Francisco, CA
  • Funding: $177M Series C
  • Employees: 200+
  • Trusted by tens of thousands of providers and hundreds of health-tech developers — forging the infrastructure layer that modern healthcare needs

About the Role

As a Product Manager, you will build the best products possible for healthcare—period. You will own end-to-end product execution at NexHealth with product excellence as your north star. You won't be tied to a single business unit; instead, you’ll work across multiple surfaces and domains based on the company’s highest priority problems. We believe obsessing over building the right product is what unlocks long-term value.

NexHealth is in Step 3 of its growth journey—scaling our platform and operations. We’re not hiring you to optimize revenue; we’re hiring you to build world-class products that move healthcare forward.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead full-stack product ownership across discovery, delivery, and iteration on any surface area (SaaS, API, Payments, Infrastructure)
  • Engage weekly with users—from front desk staff and providers to developers and patients—to deeply understand pain points and opportunities
  • Develop and prioritize roadmaps grounded in first-principles thinking and user experience, not internal politics or revenue targets
  • Partner closely with Design and Engineering through tight, fast build cycles that ship meaningful improvements weekly
  • Embed with Sales, Customer Success, and GTM teams to support launches, drive adoption, and maintain strong feedback loops
  • Define, track, and manage product metrics at both the feature and platform levels to ensure systems stay simple, elegant, and scalable
  • Bring clarity and structure to complex product areas, elevating cross-functional execution and helping teams move faster
  • Deliver end-to-end experiences that feel intuitive, confident, and high-quality—from backend architecture to delivery mechanisms and UI layers

What You’ll Bring

  • 5–8+ years of experience as a full-stack product owner in SaaS or API businesses
  • Proven success operating at $100M–$500M+ scale and supporting complex GTM motions
  • Exceptional first-principles thinker and systems designer
  • Strong design thinking with the ability to flex across technical decision-making and user experience
  • Deep ownership mentality: you act like a founder, not a feature PM
  • Bias for clarity, speed, and simplicity over process and polish
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, ruthlessly prioritize, and deliver meaningful outcomes quickly
  • A belief that great products are the most effective growth strategy
  • Experience building at scale—not just prototypes
  • Commitment to outcomes over vanity metrics
  • An ability to create clarity in low-structure environments
  • Motivation to help define the future of healthcare infrastructure

Compensation

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of NexHealth’s total compensation package for employees. Other benefits may include stock options, an unlimited paid time off policy, and up to 100% coverage on medical, vision and dental insurance.

  • Salary Range: $200,000-$275,000 USD per year (based on experience and location).
  • Equity: Competitive stock options

Benefits

  • Full Medical, Dental, and Vision (up to 100% covered)
  • 401K and commuter benefits
  • Flexible PTO
  • High-impact work that directly improves the healthcare experience for millions

Our Values

  • Solve the customer’s problems, not yours
When making decisions, think from the perspective of the customer. It’s easy to make decisions that make our lives simpler, but not the customers.
  • Do the things others are not willing to do
As a Nexer, always go after the hardest problems. Pursue things at the highest quality. Move at the fastest pace.
  • Take ownership
Act like a founder. Own your roles, destinies, mistakes, behavior, and our mission. The buck stops with each of us - no blaming or excuses.
  • Say what’s on your mind, with positive intent
Be direct, proactive, transparent, and frequent in your communication.
  • Default trust
As a Nexer, you do not have to earn trust, trust is given to you by default. If we by default trust each other, our speed of communication, feedback, information sharing, and overall improvements will be a lot faster.
  • Think in first principles
We first identify the problem and then break it down to its fundamentals before diving into solutions. We constantly ask “why” to validate our assumptions.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. We provide reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities to participate in the application or interview process. Contact [email protected] to request assistance.

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
