We are currently hiring a Product Manager - Data Enablement and Communications (Remote)  to help grow our company and ensure our mission is achieved!

This role is a work from home position and can be performed remotely anywhere in the continental US or in our corporate office in Draper, Utah.

Employee Value Proposition (EVP): PROG is dedicated to providing people with opportunity; opportunity for inclusive collaboration, opportunity for innovation, and opportunity for development.

WE ARE: Prog Tech embodies the modernity and transformational vision that is core to our business evolution. As passionate and hungry technical experts, we join together on the mission of progressing through technology. We believe in taking pride in our engineering, in the relentless pursuit of daily progress, and to bring others with you in your march to the future. We continuously experiment, fail fast, and constantly deliver.

YOU ARE: A highly skilled technical product manager with a background in data enablement, marketing technology, and customer communications platforms. You have a passion for using data to solve problems: not just analyzing it but building the products and infrastructure that make data actionable for marketing, lifecycle, and customer experience teams. You bring strong foundational product management skills, operate with urgency and ownership, and are a natural communicator who can align engineers, stakeholders, and business partners around a shared roadmap.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Own the roadmap for data enablement, customer communications platforms, and eMarketing tooling across marketing needs, lifecycle functions, and emerging conversion use cases

  • Translate complex data needs from marketing and business partners into clear product requirements that engineering can build against

  • Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to identify gaps in data availability, data quality, and segmentation capability and convert those gaps into backlog items

  • Define use cases, features, requirements, and acceptance criteria for communications platforms including notifications, content management, and campaign tooling

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that span marketing, technology, and lifecycle teams, bringing structure to ambiguous problems and driving alignment across stakeholders

  • Use sound judgment to assess risks and produce well-structured, data-informed written narratives for leadership

  • Analyze product and platform performance and establish metrics that reflect both technical health and business value

  • Manage vendor relationships where third-party platforms such as communications vendors and CMS tools are core to the product surface

  • Maintain strong communication channels across marketing, engineering, and operations, translating strategy into execution and keeping stakeholders informed on timelines, blockers, and outcomes

WHAT YOU'LL OWN:

  • Data Enablement: the product surface that makes customer and behavioral data available, accurate, and useful for marketing campaigns, segmentation, and personalization

  • Customer Communications Platform: notifications, lifecycle messaging, and the underlying tooling that sends the right message at the right moment eMarketing Platforms: the campaign management and content tools that marketing teams use to build and execute customer-facing programs

  • Vendor-managed products within this surface including chat and CMS tools, covering roadmap input, integration ownership, and internal stakeholder alignment

  • Cross-functional and matrixed alignment to the entire consumer journey for new and emerging non-leasing revenue programs (like lease protect or post checkout offers or affiliate marketing pursuits).

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

  • Marketing and lifecycle teams have reliable, well-documented access to the data they need, with a clear path to getting data gaps resolved

  • Communications platforms run with high reliability and are governed by a roadmap that reflects both near-term operational needs and longer-term conversion and marketing growth

  • Engineering and business stakeholders have a shared understanding of priorities, and you are the reason that is true

  • Vendor relationships are managed proactively, with clear accountability for outcomes

  • Strong, efficient, and highly collaborative ways of working across the product and engineering organization to drive program alignment and definition.

YOU'LL BRING:

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in software Product Management

  • Demonstrated experience owning data products or data enablement initiatives, with an understanding of how data flows, how it is consumed, and how to make it more useful to business stakeholders

  • Experience with marketing technology platforms including customer communications, CMS, campaign management, or notification systems

  • Ability to move fluently between high-level strategy and detailed execution, equally comfortable writing a one-pager for leadership and an acceptance criterion for engineering

  • Exceptional communication skills: listening, writing, presenting, and collaborating across technical and non-technical audiences

  • High integrity and the ambition to relentlessly pursue the best possible product

  • Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, self-direct, and stay flexible in a fast-paced environment

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • AI‑enabled tools are already part of how work gets done across our organization, and their use will continue to expand over time. We value people who are curious, adaptable, and open to learning as roles and workflows evolve

YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE:

  • Experience with lifecycle communications or customer journey tooling

  • Familiarity with chat platforms, conversational AI, or digital servicing products

  • Background in FinTech or financial services

  • Experience working with or alongside data engineering or analytics teams

  • Mobile and web-based product experience

WE OFFER:

  • Competitive Compensation; Eligible for STI

  • Full Health Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance + Paid Parental Leave

  • Company Matched 401k

  • Paid Time Off + Paid Holidays + Paid Volunteer Hours

  • Employee Resource Groups (Black Inclusion Group, Women in Leadership, PRIDE, Adelante)

  • Employee Stock Purchase Program

  • Tuition Reimbursement

  • Charitable Gift Matching

  • Job required equipment and services
