As a Product Manager, you'll transform data into opportunities, manage technical product development, and foster cross-functional collaboration for philanthropic initiatives.
At MissionWired, we help our partners create revolutionary fundraising strategies that advance their mission, change our country, and have a positive impact on the world.
We help our partners tell big, ambitious stories that invite their supporters into communities to raise mission-changing revenue. Our results are unrivaled, having converted more than $4.5 billion in donations to the world’s most trusted philanthropies and groundbreaking campaigns. We do it over email and SMS, in the mail, across social media, everywhere. We don’t think in terms of channels; we’re single-minded in pursuit of your success.
We’re innovative, progress-obsessed, do-gooders who care deeply about social change and continuing to push the limits on what we can accomplish together. We’ve brought strategies to life for nonprofit organizations working around the world, including Sandy Hook Promise, Human Rights Watch, The Humane Society of the U.S., Save the Children, and Friends of the Earth. Over the years, we have worked with various progressive political organizations and believe that each election cycle is an opportunity for us to support organizations across the country and elect Democrats to legislative bodies up and down the ballot.
We’re an equal-opportunity employer and take seriously our commitment to equality and equity. Our efforts to be inclusive and create opportunity don’t end when someone joins us – they begin. We’ve set our sights on changing the world through our work and with our clients, and representation is at the foundation of what we do. We know that diversity of thought and background makes us stronger. That’s why we’re committed to building and maintaining a diverse community.
Every new team member broadens our perspective and allows us to think bigger. We’ll be at our best when people from underrepresented communities and people with a range of perspectives and lived experiences want to come, stay, and push the boundaries of what’s possible.
Overview: We are looking for a Product Manager to transform millions of data points into unparalleled opportunities – supporting everything from electing Democrats to combating climate change and hunger. With us, you’ll put your skills to use for disruptive innovation that powers social good. You’ll support the continued use and evolution of AdvantageAI, a lead generation co-op for nonprofits and campaigns that is outperforming other growth sources. With this and so much more, we’re just getting started. You’ll work with a team of analysts, data scientists, and data engineers in developing first-of-their-kind strategies and creating transformational new products. Join us. Let’s go!
You will be responsible for:
- User & Client Impact. Build deep understanding of political and nonprofit users through research and feedback loops to translate their needs into data-informed product requirements.
- Engaging end users in the prioritization and roadmap process. You will leverage product metrics and user interactions to ensure that we identify the areas of greatest impact for clients in the product roadmap.
- Technical Product Development. Partner with data science, analytics, and data engineering to define model goals, understand modeling constraints, and translate experimentation and data-pipeline needs into clear product direction.
- Execution & Delivery. Write clear requirements for ML/data features, ensure cross-functional alignment, and monitor production model performance to drive evidence-based product decisions.
- Cross-Functional Leadership. Act as the connective tissue across DS, engineering, and go-to-market teams, communicating priorities and tradeoffs while fostering an inclusive, mission-driven culture.
- Setting the tone for inclusivity. Creating a culture of inclusion is not just the right thing to do – it will make a better product. In an inclusive environment, we generate more and better ideas, and everyone’s work benefits from a shared strategy.
Must-have qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data insights and drive product decisions from evidence.
- Technical communication skills: you can translate complex topics into clear, actionable product direction.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (especially data science and engineering).
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex technical roadmaps.
- Passion, energy, and excitement for progressive and philanthropic causes and all things digital.
Nice-to-have qualifications:
- Direct experience building or managing products that leverage data science, analytics, or machine learning.
- Ability to partner deeply with data scientists - comfortable discussing data quality, model metrics (e.g., precision, recall, lift, drift), and experimentation.
- Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Data Science) or equivalent technical experience.
- Hands-on familiarity with SQL, Python, Databricks, or analytics tools (enough to pull data, explore patterns, or read a notebook).
- Experience supporting the ML lifecycle: from discovery to deployment to monitoring.
- Experience in political tech, nonprofit fundraising, civic tech, or a mission-driven organization.
