Build the data infrastructure that powers physical AI.

Physical AI is moving from research labs into production fleets across industries. As robots scale across the real world, from factories to vehicles, to defense - every workflow from product development to deployment becomes a data problem: what happened, when, on which robot, and why?

At Foxglove, we built the unified data platform for physical AI that developer and engineering teams use to answer those questions. We help teams make vast quantities of robotics data actionable, creating the data flywheel they need to develop, test, train, deploy, and operate robots with confidence.

About the role

Data is the lifeblood of Physical AI, but traditional tools are not built to fully leverage the value embedded in the petabytes of complex, multimodal time-series data that robots produce. We are hiring a PM to transform our Data Platform from a passive data lake into an intelligent engine for dataset creation, discovery, and automated evaluation.

In this role, you will lead Foxglove’s largest investment area for 2026. You will be responsible for maturing the Data Platform into a standalone, high-velocity product line. You will move beyond simple storage to build sophisticated workflows that span all stages of research, development, and operations.

What you’ll do
  • Own the Data Strategy & Roadmap: Define how the platform will evolve to address the opportunities in data management, discovery, curation, and evaluation.

  • Drive Technical Innovation: Partner with our Search and Curation engineering teams to deliver innovative data layers built around the complex requirements of operating in the physical world.

  • Fuel Product-Market Fit: Transition the product from a visualization enabler into a core value proposition of Foxglove. Lead design partnerships with lighthouse customers to build and validate new capabilities before general availability.

  • Commercialize Consumption: Work with GTM to refine and implement a product-led growth model that aligns with customer value generation and feeds into Enterprise sales.

  • Connect the Loop: Ensure seamless integration between the Data Platform and our Visualization and Fleet products, creating a "data flywheel" for customers.

What we're looking for
  • 5+ years of product management experience, including 2+ in robotics, autonomous vehicles, developer tools, data infrastructure, AI & ML development, search, developer tools, or highly technical B2B SaaS.

  • Strong understanding of robotics, AV, or Physical AI development needs

  • Deep technical understanding of data lakes, indexing strategies, vector databases, and query languages (SQL). You understand the cost/performance tradeoffs of hot vs. cold storage.

  • 0→1 Mindset: You excel at taking a technical capability (ingesting logs) and turning it into a commercial product (selling insights). You are comfortable defining MVPs and iterating based on customer feedback.

  • Excellent communicator who can synthesize complex systems into clear product direction.

  • Comfortable using data to make decisions and define success metrics (e.g., query latency, data under management, ingestion rates).

  • Passion for robotics, embodied AI, and empowering teams to operate physical systems at scale.

Bonus points
  • Experience with Robotics or Autonomous Vehicle data platforms & tools(ROS, MCAP, sensor fusion).

  • Background building Search products (using embeddings, vector DBs, RAG), Data Evaluation pipelines, or AI/ML model development.

  • Experience with building cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Snowflake, Datadog).

Why join Foxglove
  • Work on real robotics problems. Robot data is large, messy, multimodal, time-sensitive, and tied to physical-world behavior. The problems we work on span ingestion, indexing, search, visualization, replay, connectivity, collaboration, evaluation, and operations.

  • Build tools engineers rely on. Foxglove is used by robotics teams investigating failures, validating changes, reviewing field behavior, curating datasets, and operating production fleets. The work you do helps teams understand what their robots saw, what they did, and why they behaved the way they did.

  • High-leverage product surface area. A better query path, visualization workflow, Fleet connection, UI primitive, API, onboarding flow, or customer deployment can change how an entire robotics team works.

  • Ownership and autonomy. We’re a small team, and people at Foxglove own meaningful work end-to-end. You’ll have real influence over product direction, technical architecture, customer outcomes, and how we operate as a company.

  • Strong peers and high standards. You’ll work with people who care about correctness, performance, craft, product judgment, and building software that technical users trust under pressure.

  • A mission grounded in production software. We accelerate robotics and physical AI by building the infrastructure teams use every day to connect to robots, inspect live telemetry, manage multimodal data, replay runs, investigate failures, and improve real systems.

What we offer
  • Competitive equity grant in a Series B company.

  • Medical, dental, vision, and term life insurance coverage at 100% for employees and 75% for dependents, for U.S. full-time employees.

  • 401(k) matching up to 4%, for U.S. full-time employees.

  • 4 weeks of vacation, plus holidays and winter break.

  • All-expenses-paid company offsites 1–2× per year.

  • $300 monthly budget toward commuter benefits or building your personal workspace, depending on role/location.
